I'd hardly say £27K of selling is anything to be alarmed about.

Unsettling that there are share sales 24 hours before AGM.

Off topic

Some researchers suggest the chances we will all be wiped out are MUCH higher than 50-50, and that it will happen long before 2050.

Before dismissing this as idle fearmongering, ask yourself what happens when next year, ChatGPT 5 creates ChatGPT 6 without human intervention. Then how long will take ChatGPT 6 to go through the same iterative process to create ChatGPT 10? What about ChatGPT 100? This will happen exponentially faster.

For a truly sobering podcast, Google "Bankless Eliezer Yudkowsky".

It was a bit concerning to read we all could be dead by 2050. From a selfish viewpoint I will be in my twilight years..if I hang around long enough.

He has deliberately asked a provocative question and will get headlines in the coming weeks.

Social media and AI are arguably the worst inventions in the last 20 years. Migration from Africa to Europe (mobile phones) case in point.

Yes Chillpill. and it is not very good at maths, sometimes. But great for recovering research info. I am investing in a company that is developing a radio pharharmicitual to detect disorders in the body. The agent attaches to the disease and can then be picked out using a pet Camera / Scanner.

3 hours on ChatGPT - Bing - and Bard was like personal instruction on the whole gambit of investing in this area.

And.

Who is in it?

A very valuable tool in my view.

Off-topic but, interesting to some on here.

AI is a big unknown right now.

I was reading earlier this week a piece by BCA Research-one of the world’s best research houses. I was very surprised by what the chief strategist said….

“Surprisingly, commodities and real estate may be among the biggest winners of an AI-driven economic boom. This is because AI will expand the effective supply of labor and capital, making natural resources scarcer relative to other factors of production.
• The safety risks around AI are huge, and we think there is a more than 50/50 chance AI will wipe out all of humanity by the middle of the century.”

I asked Google - BARD Ai search engine what it knew about Iofina's share price.

This was the response. An interesting positive report.

Iofina (IOF) is a specialty chemicals company that has seen its share price rise by 65% since January 4th, 2023. The company's stock has been on the rise due to strong demand for its products, which are used in a variety of industries, including water treatment, agriculture, and mining.

In addition, Iofina has been expanding its operations into new markets, which has helped to boost its revenue and earnings. The company has also been investing in research and development, which has helped it to develop new products and improve its existing products.

As a result of these factors, Iofina is well-positioned for continued growth in the future. The company's stock is currently trading at a P/E ratio of 10.38, which is below the average P/E ratio for the LSE. This makes Iofina a relatively undervalued stock, which could make it a good investment for investors who are looking for growth potential.

However, it is important to note that there are some risks associated with investing in Iofina. The company is exposed to the cyclical nature of the chemicals industry, which could impact its revenue and earnings. Additionally, Iofina is a relatively small company, which could make it more susceptible to changes in the market.

Overall, Iofina is a good company with a bright future. However, investors should be aware of the risks associated with investing in the company before making any investment decisions.

Here are some of the reasons why Iofina's share price has risen so much since January 4th, 2023:

Strong demand for its products
Expansion into new markets
Investment in research and development
Relatively undervalued stock

However, there are also some risks associated with investing in Iofina, such as:

Cyclical nature of the chemicals industry
Small company size

Overall, Iofina is a good company with a bright future. However, investors should be aware of the risks associated with investing in the company before making any investment decisions.

No doubt the management will do a few presentations whilst over for the AGM.

Beer it’s a public holiday here Monday and Memorial Day in US. Lots of people taking time off. We just had a 10% or so rise, nothing wrong with a breather and a bit of consolidation imo.

Also we had that flat period before the rise this week, when someone was apparently happily buying away in the background. Maybe there are some limit buy orders in, and the 33p or so limit was increased to 36p or so, maybe it will have to step up again if people are now holding tight. Time will tell. I am holding tight!!

Pour encourager les autres, as a very regular reader of this chat board I thought I would write something, as I appreciate it when others write! Delighted with recent developments. While the seeds fiasco still needs resolving, what I like about Iofina is that they listened after the various mistakes and - crucially - allowed private investors to participate in the various recaps.

I agree with the sentiment expressed elsewhere - the more 'boring' this share becomes, the better! A grindingly relentless growth story from here will keep traders at bay. I like the inflation hedge of this investment... ultimately, if there is currency collapse (£ or $ for that matter), Iofina produces something that is likely to have a minimum demand.

Key for me is that Iofina learns from its early history and never, ever gets itself into a position where the debt position becomes precarious.

One thing the Company has done well is to get a much more solid shareholder base over the last 3 years.
After the Arron Banks saga and breakdown in comms they knew his holding was up for grabs and so they have got several new investors onboard. Two have disclosed holdings but others have been quietly buying over last few months- nothing dramatic- just picking up stock as it comes available.

A lot of the PI’s have sold out (hence v quiet on here) and been replaced with investors buying with a multi-year time horizon.
