18/5/2023 09:13 | No there wasn’t but main selling period is from Jan-May. Main Chilean production is from October to April. They said they are the only ones able to increase production to match demand although they are only adding 1000t this year and then bring another 2500t online from 2024-27. It looks like LCD demand is down but x-rays (contrast media)demand is up 7%. Obviously they don’t give guidance for global Meth demand. It is possible SQM keep prices in $65-70 range for next 18 months as they need to build up inventory again. | chillpill
18/5/2023 08:55 | Curious comment from SQM re. iodine prices given that we are only 7 weeks to the end of H1 2023.Was there any guidance on iodine prices for H2 2023 ? | fft
18/5/2023 08:11 | No change from SQM. They highlight they are only ones capable of increasing production. They sold an extra 400t in Q1 (as it is the main sales period) which is consistent with them increasing production 1000t this year. Seems they are content for price to be in $65-70 range for a while yet. “We saw our average price increase almost 3% in the first quarter 2023 when compared to the previous quarter and believe prices could remain at this level for the remainder of the first half of 2023. We anticipate that demand in the contrast media segment will remain robust and could potentially grow by approximately 7% this year, despite an expected flat year-on-year global demand growth. As we increase our production capacity, we expect to grow our sales volumes accordingly to support this segment demand growth.” | chillpill
17/5/2023 18:25 | Shares still being picked up at the end of the days trading, still 1 or 2 big buyers around...bodes well... | barrywhit
16/5/2023 22:34 | The good thing about the presentation last week is they are adding resource to get ahead of the curve on plant rollout. | chillpill
16/5/2023 16:59 | 256 trades is give 123 a run for his money, hopefully reassuring accumulation... To boost share price we need growth prospects to be stratospheric.... | beeezzz
16/5/2023 16:38 | If you follow LSE for indervidual trades, then it looks like the old 123 is trying twice as hard. And power to his/her elbow. LOL | beercapafn
16/5/2023 14:40 | There has been an under swell of interest in IOF shares this last week. Bodes well from my view. GLA | beercapafn

12/5/2023 21:09 | I think there has been at least one other big buyer in the market as well but definitely someone hoovering up. | chillpill
12/5/2023 17:32 | Is Richard Sneller still hoovering up the sells at the end of the day??..it certainly looks like it..imo | barrywhit
12/5/2023 13:49 | Suppose they expand the exploration team by adding a new team. There would inevitably be a competitive element internally. Cleaver management would bonus different targets, for example, which team signs up the BEST parts per million The lowest royalty % The shortest lead time to start Groundwork The most significant flow of brine You get the idea. | beercapafn
12/5/2023 09:45 | I think it is a 3-4 year plan. They have some easy runs to add if they can build 2 plants per year-which cashflow suggests they can. | chillpill
12/5/2023 08:54 | At the right price I agree | riddlerone
12/5/2023 08:51 | The board wouldn't necessarily mention it as a objective, but IOF being acquired or taken over is a good exit plan for them. | activmojo
12/5/2023 08:36 | I thought the presentation was informative but predictable. They will have to get a move on with the capital investments otherwise that amount of cash on the balance sheet growing month on month will soon make them a valuable target to be acquired. Its no wonder RS is still adding at these levels he will hold both the carrot and the stick | riddlerone
12/5/2023 07:36 | I listened carefully to what Tom said. He is super cautious in what he says which is fair enough. For me a lot depends on the speed of the plant roll out. The CC note confirms that. Tom says “committed to at least one per year”. They know they have dropped the ball in lining up new plants and are adding resources to this area. I still think it is feasible to have 4 new plants running in the next couple of years getting the production rate up to 1000t pa. At the moment they are generating over $1.5m per month in EBITDA so (as we know) plant build is the bottleneck. Unlock the bottleneck and the stock will probably head quite a bit higher imo. | chillpill
11/5/2023 22:41 | For those with an hour to kill, the presentation is on YouTube: 9 views in the first 5 hours, with a couple of those probably being the channel operator checking if the video had uploaded correctly... I think the company needs a bit more buzz! | zendo102 |
