02/8/2013 09:27 | Just in case no one has noticed, we know the patent has been awarded, IOF issued an RNS at 8:30 to that effect. | bogg1e
02/8/2013 09:27 | I take it that IOF bought the original patent application as part of the package and then turned it in a new direction as they changed/improved the process. | writz
02/8/2013 09:24 | Interesting that Terry Brix, formerly of Brine Electriv/Arysta is the inventor! | gadolinium
02/8/2013 09:07 | company has a solid protected buisness now which is patented very secure and gives the comapny more value any predator will be buying a solid unique company. how many times do you hear on dragons den "whats to stop someonelse jumping in and doing the same". Patent is very important but opens the doors now to predators dont think they will come just yet but they will come thats for sure. | iof multibagger
02/8/2013 09:06 | greenroom. totally agree "This patent provides further barrier of entry against potential peers and suggests the only way a major will get their hands on this tech is with a buyout" I cannot see us not getting bought out. | jointer13
02/8/2013 09:01 | Boggle the reality is that production is up for July on previous months, but not very well put in the rns, if at all. It was said many times by various PI's. | superg1
02/8/2013 08:59 | Maybe too much focus on the price and not enough on the company. If the company achieve their targets the price will follow. I see this morning's news as a very positive development. I bought IOF because of the difficulties in the Iodine supply chain and the troubles soon to be facing IOF's competitors. This patent provides further barrier of entry against potential peers and suggests the only way a major will get their hands on this tech is with a buyout. Enough from me again, GLA. | greenroom78
02/8/2013 08:58 | Patent news probably seals our fate as a takeover will happen eventually but should be worth pounds to the share price eventually.Back to my holiday in Spain.... | che7win
02/8/2013 08:58 | Nev Pete ?.. Still the aftermath of yesterday's dive. Traders will have picked up some at the lows and will cash in. Next comes the new CEO which is said to be going well. | superg1
02/8/2013 08:57 | Could be, winterfloods moved down immediately on that news | pwcarnall
02/8/2013 08:57 | Looked like an orchestrated move. I agree Retiree. | beercapafn
02/8/2013 08:56 | Because the reality, although good, was not as optimistic as previously thought. Little correction thats all. | bogg1e
02/8/2013 08:54 | Any ideas why? Perhaps 'sell on news'!! | peterz
02/8/2013 08:53 | Excellent news, that means a good barrier to entry for rivals trying to copy us. Just have to take us over if they want to dominate iodine. | che7win
02/8/2013 08:53 | Well that RNS hasn't gone down well either, seems the market don't like anything Iofina do these days | nevmyers
02/8/2013 08:52 | L2 is all over the place this morning! | diggulden
02/8/2013 08:52 | I put it down too the digging by some here. It's rare on BB's that so many keep digging. As we saw with the water permit, we found it online. Sometimes companies take a few days to prepare an rns, writing it, then through the Pr company, then the nomad etc. However the timing of the rns suggests finding it forced a release. The same may happen if True oil hit commercial oil, as I'm confident IOF have leases right on their doorstep. It's called digging. No idea re timings of True oil saying yes or no on their findings, but it is a new play which IOF describe as conventional and adjacent to their acreage. That could be another that gets mentioned here first. Just a prospect for now, but one that True oil are keeping tight, but have been top leasing on surrounding land. | superg1
02/8/2013 08:44 | dig, gotcha. well done that man who found it yesterday! | nellyb
02/8/2013 08:41 | Nellyb, I'm not entirely sure they knew it had been awarded at that point! | diggulden
02/8/2013 08:40 | I think we are going to have 1 or 2 co's running the rule over us now | jointer13 |
