01/8/2013 23:16 | Maca is going a long way out of his way to cast doubt on the potential of this company, I wonder why? He also talks in riddles, and I have great difficulty in getting to his real message. Please clarify in layman's terms, stop couching things in innuendo. Now, after a relatively pleasing RNS, the AIM market has reacted in a vicious and absurd way. But it suits me fine, as my GVC dividend has arrived, and I can slam it straight into IOF at these bargain levels, (if it opens anywhere below 150p) | festario
01/8/2013 23:15 | Gonna be a mad scramble for shares in the morning with shorters closing aswel could be straight back to £2 in a jiffy | iof multibagger
01/8/2013 23:03 | After just catching the RNS before going out for the day I assessed it as a very reasonable update, reassuringly underpinning the basis for future development in Extraction Agreements, operational experience and improvement, incoming brine flows, enhanced techiques for "extremely high iodine concentrations", equipment procurement and with specific planning for IOx plants and for the water depot construction and water marketing. Yes, some delays, but not in anything fundamental - just a real life Co operating in the real life world. And vis-à-vis oil in the brine, enhancing a capability for the future. I left, expecting essentially a stable SP, with, if anything, a slight rise. So having just returned I find myself both amazed and amused by the nonsense of the actual share price action. Punters and betters, you deserve whatever hits you. I shall be adding to my real shares in the morning. JPS, thank you and as far as I can tell, a great find. Maca, you may well have some angle on the history, but note the assignee of the patent now! | hew
01/8/2013 23:01 | Up till now I didn't buy into the theory that BOD were deliberately keeping the company below radar. With this latest RNS and what looks like positive patent info., I'm inclined to believe that is exactly what they are up to. | roundup
01/8/2013 22:57 | Agreed Engelo... Or at the very least ABCF. (anyone but CF). | battery
01/8/2013 22:08 | Englo, I suspect by this time next year, we will be wondering what to do with our proceeds. | rogerbridge
01/8/2013 22:06 | Wrong maca, nailed your colours to the wall today, hope others work it out! | the librarian
01/8/2013 22:05 | rogerbridge about 30 mins ago in my case things did appear very dark ;-) If an RNS is issued I just hope SG will be allowed to write it :-) | engelo
01/8/2013 22:03 | Gee, So let me see - is this is the Arysta tech that doesn't work on oily brines(and that IOF picked up for a song)? Or is this IOF tech (which obviously must have involved lots of hard work and late nights at IOF)? Terry Brix, now where have I seen that name before, oh yeah: hxxp://www.ok.gov/oc Hmm | maca1212
01/8/2013 22:02 | JS forgot to say great find. | supreme mo
01/8/2013 21:58 | Well done jpsmthson. Some good comments this evening putting events into perspective.Things can sometime appear dark before the sun shines. Feeling better already. | rogerbridge
01/8/2013 21:52 | jpsmithson. Great find.!! I think that was exactly the patent info all the LTHs have been waiting for. | battery
01/8/2013 21:48 | naphar - 'this year' is not an important deadline. As I have said, delays are going to pay a penalty, share price wise, but if you believe in the technology and the company then it is insignificant in the longer, (and not too much longer) term. | bobbyshilling
01/8/2013 21:47 | jpsmithson: what an absolutely brilliant find! Like most others, no expert in this field and hardly dare have an opinion, but the text 'Assignee: Iofina Natural Gas' does it for me. Huge list of individual patents covering every aspect. This is a very big deal imo and what amazing timing :-) Imho SG will be in comms with IOF about it, and an RNS will need to be issued. | engelo
01/8/2013 21:37 | UP I don't believe that for one second. I think the current BOD are doing their utmost to disguise the current/near term picture for fear of a bid appearing before IO3 is up and running. If IO3 is indeed on high ppm site it will be a monster and game changer for us,then of course IO4-10(?) will follow also being on similar ppm. But these need time to get up & running smoothly. Are they buying time to achieve a significantly higher value? I'd like to think so... | monts12
01/8/2013 21:35 | Within touching distance IF they can get at least plants 1-5 in place this year AND ramp up the plant production quickly enough. | naphar
01/8/2013 21:32 | Up take your point but patent info dated 30th july - they had 2 days to insert one or two lines on todays rns | supreme mo
01/8/2013 21:31 | Nice find jpsmithson re:patent info! Just re-read SG1's header about the revenues for only 1500mt. Wow, and the company is realistically only within touching distance, given a few months. I don't know why some (and the market for that matter) place so much emphasis on a slight delay - in the big picture - but there you go. There is not one shred of evidence in the rns that IOF are delayed from anything other than circumstances outside of their control. One makes the best decisions at the time on information available. In fact there are big positives going forward. Still, perhaps the bashers had the fore sight to spot this company when it was really cheap, and so have made money on the way up and down, but I doubt it very much. Can't beat a hindsight expert! No worries, roll on ISA Monday :) | bobbyshilling
01/8/2013 21:18 | The point of the update? Maybe all those who emailed in for one can answer? Perhaps given more time things would have been balanced to expectation but it seems they had to bring it forward to appease some. | uppompeii
01/8/2013 21:14 | I wonder what would have happened if IOF had kept to the original plans and not moved IO3 to a more productive site. It may have been possible to have IO1, IO2 & IO3 up and running with lower potential output and less down time, but have a far higher share price than we have today. However, a few months down the road, the current strategy should by far surpass the original production rates. So, more time required, but IOF will quickly overtake the original production forecasts. With higher ppm to come. The disappointment was in the negative slant in the rns, maybe the IOF advisors are far too cautious. I find it hard to believe that that IOF would have given an update that failed to highlight the current (July) production rates. What was the point of this update. The fall has been overdone and it presents a good buying opportunity. I will be buying some for the ISA, SIPP and share account fully loaded. Nothing has really changed. | rogerbridge
01/8/2013 21:05 | Let's hope the patent AND the CEO news are now very close.....it certainly feels that way. Just what we need after today's kick in the teeth from the market, after the operational update that I thought was fair and honest, although disappointing after the hype and promises. | worraps
01/8/2013 20:19 | Chris is good with the negatives to be fair, we have had worst case scenario a few times now.... there must be a plan there somewhere? Anyway, we will see what the new CEO thinks when they take over the reins, which can't be that far away! | the librarian
01/8/2013 20:13 | SG, can you explain this patent thing that JPsmithson has posted, i dont understand, or anyone else. | hitsha3 |
