07/7/2013 17:37 | New thread.. Much discussion about what impact IOF's production may have on the wholesale price of iodine in the future. IOF, being vertically integrated, is at present, using all production for their own purposes. It is likely that raw iodine production will eventually outstrip their ability to use it all, so then, of course, the wholesale price comes under pressure. The question is.. When. Expansion into the present retail markets, while introducing (or re-introducing) our production in to existing and new markets may extend that time-line, without influencing the wholesale price. (elegant marketing strategy on their part) Again, there is a logical and practical limit to that course of action, but let's have some thought and discussion on this subject... | ![]() benny hanna

07/7/2013 14:03 | Quick question - the 15 year convertible bond at 6.5%. Does this mean in 2 years time, Iofina can either pay back 15m + 6.5% (more if accumulative), or they can issue shares to the same value of the owed sum? If so do we know that price the shares will be converted at or how much extra shares it would create? Thanks. | ![]() bogg1e

07/7/2013 11:55 | HI all, will send. It may not be til next weekend as I am away til friday. Candy - i shall try to find a workaround. If anyone else in the meantime could pdf the doc i sent or send the original to people who need it i would be very grateful. You will be pleased to hear the 16 pages of Iofina calculatins etc is now ready. I first send it to friends and family, then when i know whether they can invest or not, i send it to others. I expect to do this next weekend in regard to IOF. Sg1 - no problems. QFI is like Iofina, not everything one needs to know is immediately apparant - they are a small player in a very large market. The sheer size of the industry makes regulations complicated and progress slow. But i'm sure its worth the wait! | ![]() bogg1e

06/7/2013 22:54 | sg1, MSAR did work, the formula was simply tweaked. MSAR runs immediately in any appropriate engine, which is most HFO and diesel and some gas/combined engines. However for use at sea, the rules are far more stringent and so even though the fuel worked at sea, the formula was simply enhanced to make sure the regulations were met, and they were met, additionally the economics of the fuel passed as expected. This is why Maersk are now moving from the trial on the soro Maersk (2nd largest container vessel globally at the time - the emma maersk is slightly bigger) to testing the fuel on a range of ships that will consume 10 times the amount used in the initial trial. Thereafter Maersk plan to roll out to 200 ships, which represents approximately 5% of the global marine fuel market. | ![]() bogg1e |
