I think he's probably still dealing with his bank manager over his margin calls for being balls out leveraged in a stock that fell 40%

I wouldn't pick a fight with Scruts on a BB Warren; based on syntax, prose and content, he'll run rings around you.

Not that he'll reply, I get the impression he doesn't waste time on his lessers.

Never paid any attention to anything scruts said as you can see from all my previous posts

Scrutable told me what this company would be worth with 200 plants up and running. The next Asos I think were his words! #wwwbd

Pipe down Wayne you only bought them because I told you too - what research did you do?

Never make a decision based on a forum. DYOR. I fear many here haven't. SuperG has gone AWOL and so has the share price it's too coincidental that all this "we've got oil" news came out after the slump. Just my opinion. IOF looks desperate right now. Emergency RNS to give it a boost and a paltry director buy. Poor.

It was nice to see CF buying shares at least there was some response from the directors. Night all.

SG what you fail to appreciate is that you were posting 20 odd times a day when the share price was going up and the time when it reverses you post once or twice a day.Entirely your own prerogative how often you post but like it or not a huge number of pis on this board are in this share because of your postsI'm sure it only adds to their panic when the price starts falling and you are nowhere to be seenJust an observation

Dig

No Superg, Lib, Noli, Naphar, Digg, in all that time, which is very unusual.'

It's called golf, I do get away from the screen on the odd occasion and did state I would be posting less post AGM.

The main research is done. The good thing about IOF is that the revenue and profits are near term, but the market will have it's 'fun' at certain points.

I look at some others highly priced and they are 2 or 3 years off profits, so they will get hammered by the shorts.

All investment advice says it should be considered as a 5 year view. Where will IOF be in 5 years.

Well imo IOF will no longer be. It will be swallowed up by some big fish. Very hard to short if news like that comes out in the future re a bid price.

Roger, it has been a long and very stressful week for me also...I shall say no more about it on here.
Worraps, I have not, for one second, ever thought you as 'silly'.
Uppompeii, not many on here were previously saying it was getting ahead of itself...were they?
Here's to a better week next week.

No disrespect intended here, but I'm sure some of you are trying to find extreme reasons for the fall, manipulation, secret suitor, etc, when its probably the simplest reason.....it had got ahead of itself. Can anyone really say it was worth 300m? ... even the board didn't think so if I remember correctly a comment from the meeting posted. Its happened, hopefully the next few months will be good, any slip and you can knock another 40% off.

We will see worraps. One thing is for sure come the end of this year the share price should be well north of where we are today. Either by rising profits or take out. I hope for the former as IOF forms a large part of my SIPP.

Warmsun, maybe strange was he wrong word, it has been a long week for me and I need a good rest. I am concerned that a competitor could be building a stake, I certainly hope not. We have had what looks like some coordinated selling, more delayed trades than there used to be. It looks like manipulation, but who is behind it. Maybe be some II's just wanting to buy in cheap, smoke and mirrors.

I am trying not to read too much into it, it will all come out in the wash.

There have been some very strange trades over the last couple of weeks but it is good to see that we have had some II buying. Probably a lot going on in the background that we do not know about, but some II's have been able to snap some cheap shares from PI's.It is also the silly season with Royal Ascot and Wimbledon to keep II's busy.

Yes, sorry, it was xippy I was supposed to thank for the shorts explanation - it was just what I needed. But thanks for the further link, maca!

As for the other topic = at least we now know that directors buys at this stage are possible.

Indeed Che7win, but what it DOES mean is something much more important.

It means that the board are not aware of any imminent approach or possible takeover. I like that a lot.

The director purchase is a vote of confidence; it does not mean that there will be no news in the next couple of months.

If IO#2 is not yet hooked up at full tilt, then the directors know no more market sensitive information than you or I, so they are free to purchase.

There's no reason why we wont have an update on IO#2 production figures when it's gets up to full tilt which could be imminently IMHO.
