Just when We thought the news couldn't get any better, we find we produced iodine last month at the top end of forecasts!

Just remember, iodine production only normalised from middle of September, and they say production has been steadily increasing.

Should the water permit not transform our fortunes I have devised a backup plan. Having consulted further the mystical Chronicle of Job the Despondent, recently discovered in my attic, I believe I now have the answer to all our problems. It will be necessary for us to perform certain arcane rituals as described in Book vii, verse 127 below:


In those days the descendents of Shem came forth from Ur of the Chaldees and settled in the land of Shinar and the people said one unto another 'lets us build a tower that reacheth unto Heaven that we may be known throughout the whole world'. Then stepped forth one call Lance the Optimistic and said 'No! lets us build divers towers such that we may be greater than the citidal of Atacama in the land that is called Chile'. And so they started to build towers unto Heaven. First one, then two, then three and so on unto six towers did they build and the city prospered and all who saw it were amazed. But they did not build a seventh tower as the treasury was bare.

But the eye of Heaven did look upon the towers of the city and was displeased by the works of man. And the firmament of heaven did open and send forth a sword of fire to smite the 2nd tower of the city, but it fell not. Then the Lord of Heaven caused the waters which sprang from the earth around the 3rd and 4th towers to be blocked up by divers means and return to the earth from whence they came and the inhabitants of the towers cried out for thirst therefrom. Then did the most high cause a terrible chasm to open in the earth and two hideous demons did emerge thereof from the seventh circle of Hell and did wreak havoc upon the 5th and the 6th towers of the the city, and the names of the demons were George and Gary.

Now in dispair the inhabitants did call upon a soothsayer and prophet, Job the Despondent son of Moab the Suicidal, saying unto him 'help us we beseech thee'. Then the prophet did depart unto the desert and fasted for seven days and seven nights seeking a vision from heaven. Presently the prophet returned and addressed the multitude of the city that gathered about him saying 'Thou has offended the eye of Heaven by thy unsightly towers and must perform an eye pleasing recompense unto the most high. Verily, at midnight on the seventh day of the seventh full moon go forth naked into your fields and gardens together with your wives, your concubines and such comely daughters and maidservants of your houshold, with your bodies painted with purple woad and dance naked in propitiation to Heaven. And the people did as they were commanded, dancing naked through the night and forever after the city of the towers prospered.

So thats it! All we have to do is, everyone must agree to carry out the naked dance ritual with their comely wives and concubines etc. All I have to do is consult my astrological charts and calculate the correct date and time for the ritual according to the Babylonian calender, oh and get some new batteries for my video camera :-)
