Good find CK. He does seem to be switched on and following the new route Lance said at the AGM. Slight slip by the interviewer of an share price of £43 - we can only dream! Good to hear we will get updates for the 'next couple of months'

hi superg,

re your post 25061 "You got the 15th July part spot on re the water hearing, but also mentioned 90 days, did that come from the same source as a guidance figure."
Yes, the 90 days timeline did come from the same source.
Furthermore, this week I asked the question 'is it still intended that a decision will be issued within 90 days of the Hearing date, ie. by 13th October' and received the reply that a decision WILL be issued on or before the 90th day (my caps)
I point out that the Interim Results say "The Group expects a decision from the examiner within the coming months, although there is no firm deadline for the examiner to issue this decision. The Group is continuing its marketing and engineering efforts in anticipation of a favorable outcome"
It appears IOF are unaware of the 90 day timeline (or maybe they are not certain of it) but are convinced that the outcome will be favourable ( as they have been on previous occasions)
FWIW I believe a favourable response will be received in the next 11 days, and as you say probably next week

Too true SG, I was in the old VLS a couple of years ago, but it got too far ahead, a flavour of the month share, so I took profits. VLS has a lot going for it and I wold not knock anyone from investing, but you need to take a 5 year time frame.
Here we are over the heavy expenditure and production should be increasing. It is a silly price and I have grabbed a few more.

Thanks san.

Fresh and others.

You can't overlook the general market when wondering why things aren't where some think they should be in terms of the share price.

EG, Q3 has just been reported as the worst quarter worldwide since 2012, excluding the US which marches onward. Australia has been hammered in relation to the dollar.

Take a look at the figures for VLS ignoring what they have, it makes no sense at all but that's the market for you.

Revenue H1 £1 million (down 40% yoy), loss £10 million, market cap £260 mill.

The results were quickly followed by a £52 million fund raise.

VLS are in promise mode as are a few others with high MCs, that tends to be the difference on the AIM at times.

Quote from FAQs REGARDING THE NEW WATER RIGHT PERMIT AND CHANGE APPLICATION PROCESS

>>
There are two types of hearings to which an application may be subject. A show-cause hearing is initiated if the DNRC proposes to deny an application or grant an application with modifications. The hearing will be held within 45 days of issuance of the preliminary determination. This hearing allows the applicant to provide additional information showing why the DNRC erred in its preliminary determination. The burden of proof will be on the applicant. The Hearing Examiner’s Final Order will be issued within 90 days of the hearing or 90 days of the close of the record, whichever is later.
<<

But looking at records of actual "show cause" hearings the period has been from a few days to more than a year.

Market is massively missing facts here - this is not a sub 50p share imo. Should be a £1 in front of price at least!

“With the design completion of our mobile IOsorb® technology and the successful production of IOprillTM iodine, the Board is excited about Iofina’s future and is dedicated to progressing towards becoming the global leader in iodine and iodine derivatives. We look forward to updating shareholders on our continued growth, expansion of iodine production facilities and maximising shareholder value.”

Says it all really.

Fresh,
Dow fall spooked things, if it bounces this afternoon, it should help.

We are just following the chart here, we should move up when the market senses the misprice, I don't know when but below 50p seems a bargain to me.

Surprised we are below pre interims. What on earth has spooked people, cash growing, costs coming down, more leases, mobiles ready to roll, plant problems identified?

Heartwell,
I asked you what you expected the cash position to be like the night before the interims.
You flapped, you were completely ignorant on that account, cash was much better than anyone's expectations, including mine.
Now we hear admin expenses are going to be much lower than h1, I.e. probably cash flow positive H2.

You now say production figures for September will be the third profits warning...
Err, there are no profits calculations in any of the monthly production figures.

The cash position is building nicely from what I hear, just think what cash generation will be like when the plants are producing efficiently.

You are very fortunate you got away with your short, you should have held on to it yesterday and closed today though.

Then again, I expected us to move into the 50's yesterday, so I understand why you closed out.

MMs will mark this up when they have their quota, they did start at 44p-46p this morning, I guess they are happy to be able to grab another few before changing the direction.

If you are still around.

You got the 15th July part spot on re the water hearing, but also mentioned 90 days, did that come from the same source as a guidance figure.

I can't find any reference to a set timeline, as in other steps of the process.

Get your facts straight:

"All six of the Company's IOsorb(R) plants are now in operation and producing crystallized iodine, and are expected to produce circa 25-30MT in September with increased exit rates moving forward."

IOF have already stated that Sept production would be circa 25mT+ so how would that be a profit warning??
You're just scare-mongering.

Just wait for the September figures. Anywhere near 25MT will be the third production profit warning, followed by sub 40p

A single small trade at 40p has taken the share price down... irrelevant IMO... there are always panickers... look 6 months ahead...

There is recent talk of an application in North Dakota too, but I haven't seen anything yet.

No idea re timing on the Montana decision as in the rns, but they can be under 90 days as some suggest, it depends if the Montana lot get distracted by the local school fete on timings, it really is a sleepy place.

The good old market on another red day, been this way for weeks right through Sept, FT 100 near a 6 month low.

SuperYou seem to have done a lot of digging here. Are there any other examples of water applications being at this stage? Interested to see what happened to them next.
