08/12/2021 08:04 | Pleasantly surprised to see this doing so well given the South Africa situation, it seems to be outperforming the overall market even. Up approx 100% on my investment but will continue to hold in portfolio for the dividends | mister md
07/12/2021 09:29 | Next years broker consensus EPS(22-23), now at 56p. Still feel that's a bit on the low side but even if true, that's a forward PE of just 7. In my view, mucho cheapo, especially when you take the div's into account. | mo123
02/12/2021 09:00 | Cheers Boozey, all 4 brokers now have INVP as a solid buy which should give some downside protection. Futures on the federal funds rate, which tracks short-term interest rate expectations, now reflect a roughly 50% chance that the Fed will raise rates from its current near-zero level by May. If BOE raise in Feb as expected could see co's in fin sector have a run up early in the New Year. | mo123
01/12/2021 21:02 | A Goldman Buy rating counts for more than a rating from any other broker so that is great news despite a significant Director sale today. Investec has grown into one of my best performers and largest holdings post pandemic. And I feel confident for the future, notwithstanding Covid. Mo I owe you a vote of thanks as I put some spare cash into RMG just before their results as you mentioned them as one of three sets of results you were looking out for in a week during mid November. And they have held their own since despite the recent market pullback. | boozey
01/12/2021 10:00 | Goldman raises INVP to 470 (440)- 'BUY' | mo123
26/11/2021 16:42 | I sold half my holding in these back at around £2.91 and have regretted that since. Bought back in at £3.54 today and hope Monday won't be even cheaper ;0) Some of the banks have had a really bad day today, I believe the reason why is that people were expecting interest rates to go up soon to fight inflation, and banks (Investec has a banking arm I believe) do better with higher interest rates. That hope has been squashed now. Of course, the fact that the new strain of virus is African where INVP is headquartered is a double whammy. | cassini
26/11/2021 16:23 | Looks like £3.50 was hit. I bought too early today but dividend due in December and free shares in N91 should support the price especially if NU is not that bad. | robizm
25/11/2021 15:31 | Decent chance of seeing 400 next week with investors buying in for the div. and the possibility that the BOE will hike rates a week later. Trust me, say something and inevitably the opposite will happen. It will take scientists around 3 weeks to see if the vaccines work against the new strain of virus. No unusual symptoms have been reported following infection with the B.1.1.529 variant and, as with other variants some individuals are asymptomatic, South Africa's NICD said. Still early days and uncertainty will remain for now. | mo123
23/11/2021 12:46 | Thought I was a bit late here around 325p, as been looking to move some big chunks of money into stocks that pay decent dividends, but its often surprising how long bull trends go on for - plus this one seems justified. | yump
22/11/2021 10:26 | Oops, sorry disnt see already posted, forgot to refresh. | hamhamham1

19/11/2021 10:58 | It could get to that this year. I believe payout ratio guidance is 30-50% of earnings. Guidance is 48-53p. 40% would be about 20p but they've stated we are getting the bonus since they have no need for more capital. Paying out less than 50% could be seen as conflicting with that comment. I'm hoping for nearer 50% than 30%, anyway. | aleman
19/11/2021 10:49 | I see 500p coming. Yeah the 35p bonus divi is welcome but when they get back to 25p standard divi per year, that will be a reasonable annual 5% return. | hamhamham1
19/11/2021 08:40 | Do think results yesterday and the extra 35p dividend should push us back towards £5 it will take time of course. | wskill
18/11/2021 10:14 | Results out and this still look stupendous value imo | rightnellie
18/11/2021 09:29 | Book much improved | hades1
18/11/2021 08:53 | L2 very low volume on both sides. Could be a large iceberg order but not evident? Just slow and no depth either side of book. | hades1
18/11/2021 08:27 | 11p ex-dividend 9th December. | aleman
18/11/2021 08:15 | M&G may be offloading more of their large holding now that results are out? | mo123
18/11/2021 08:05 | Stil in auction | hamhamham1
18/11/2021 08:03 | So at a quick glance. (too busy this morning) Doubled net profit. Doubled div. Raised guidance for the year. Tier1 rises to 13.9%. Return of capital to the poor S/H. ROE improving Also Investec Prop doing well. | mo123 |
