This should be the start of a reversal given gains today. It's massively oversold on fundamentals, and one glance at the share price Chart would leave most technical analysts drooling!

The share price is near the all time lows last seen in March 2018, when the company was on the brink of bankruptcy.

Interserve is on a much firmer footing today.

Refinancing secured for 3 years, restructuring is progressing well and contract wins continue to be announced. I expect this share price to represent a bottom, but I would not read much in the bounce today, given the low volume.

Barring a takeover, robust upward momentum will only be catalysed by clear progress with debt reduction - either by means of significant disposals (RMDK makes 25m profit per year, so selling it for anything less than 250m - given the 10% interest - is a cash negative operation), recapitalisation (a dilutive rights issue), or (much) higher-than-expected margins on the visible revenue.

The most likely scenario is a combination of the three, but I do not think things will happen particularly fast. Patience is the name of the game.

Not sure cfc but I think you can assume that 505k trade at 57.25 yesterday was a delayed sell and the reason the share price was under pressure. Looks like the MM's have completed that order to me.

Edit: volume is really really low today. Only 188k shares traded so anything could happen later.
Always better to be up on low volume than down on low volume though...

"INTERSERVE WINS £13M CAMHS CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
Interserve, the international support services and construction group, has been appointed to construct a new £13 million child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) unit for West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership"

What's the betting it costs £17M to build...…...

More "bread and butter" wins for Interserve. Excellent.

As we speak, all EfW plants finally generating, with EfW cashflow expected to turn positive as milestones are met and insurance receipts are received.

I share Jeffian's view that recapitalisation (either further rights issue or disposals) are essential. It is my opinion that the "margin of safety" concept can still be applied to an overleveraged company, such as Interserve. IRV appears to be very cheap compared to its intrinsic value - although risk persists.

Have a great week. Good luck holders.

INTERSERVE WINS £13M CAMHS CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
Interserve, the international support services and construction group, has been appointed to construct a new £13 million child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) unit for West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership.

Funded by NHS England capital funds, the new unit will be built on the site of St Mary’s Hospital in Armley in Leeds. This project has been awarded via the P22 Framework, from which Interserve has now been awarded £479m worth of schemes with Trusts.

John Gittins, Divisional Director at Interserve commented:

“Interserve is delighted to be working with Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust as it invests in its mental health care services. This new unit will provide vital services to young people from the local area.

“This project builds on Interserve’s health expertise which includes the delivery of more than 300 healthcare projects for NHS clients, including a new non-secure unit at Fieldhead Hospital in Wakefield for the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust”

Maybe you should continue to wait to see exactly what direction the irv board are going to take. Risk is, share price could easily be back to 120 or beyond when you find your answer. Want to be risk adverse - look at another share with solid divi.

Do those "in the know" also know whether IRV are proposing to pay off their loans via disposals or fund-raising, what size the resultant company will be and how many shares will be in issue? Without that knowledge it is impossible to attribute to shareholders the value of any recovery in trading.

For those in the know the recovery at Interserve has already begun and will gather pace. Get in now like I did last week.

You will not believe me guys but if I had a short position I would be very happy to tell you about it - especially since I have been consistently negative about IRV and before that CLLN, after all I would be gaining handsomely.

I have however lots of long positions some of which have done extremely well and I don't worry about , so (as I have said before )whilst keeping an eye on some of my holdings hitting all time highs , I have to find something interesting to research ...

If I was short - why not say so - its not going to make a jot of difference to anything. Not going to move the share price I'm not going to influence any of you longs either way, its just interesting to look through the announcements and ask the questions...

Funny how short holders fail to admit it. Could it be the guilt of hoping and yearning that businesses go bankrupt and collapse causing misery and ruin to many innocent and hard-working families? Oh they are not breaking any laws though even though they themselves are MORALLY BANKRUPT!

eodfire, you are quite right about fenners66. Every time there is good positive news for Interserve, he dreams up and churns out as much negative propaganda he can. That is his modus operandi. Yet he pretends to have no interest in the company's fortunes either way when you ask if he has a short position open. It's pathetic! You have him well and truly SUSSED OUT!!!!

Interserve have no construction arm. They project manage and sub contract out. They should concentrate on delivering support services.
