27/3/2018 12:06 | Good for you ih. Please keep us posted on your successes and trades - UTs, imaginary or otherwise - and please make sure to gloat abundantly about them. And please, make sure you detail when and what you are trading - even if it’s not relevant to this thread - you are highly respected and I’m sure you influence the opinion of many investors here. And please make sure you share the thoughts and posts of others passing them as your own. I’m sure you’re going to consistently beat the market thanks to your inside information (it’s a shame you can’t disclose it, grrrrr!) and superior insight (we’ll live and learn, from you). I wish I were as successful as you. And half as cool. | aendjo

27/3/2018 10:15 | It'll be a reaction to today's Questor column in the Telegraph (at the bottom, below the British Land piece). For once, I agree with Questor. | jeffian
27/3/2018 10:03 | ih, good luck with your short. May I ask where did you hear about the accounts being published or seen? Seen by who? Fenners, this is clearly not the “best” company on the market. It would be disingenuous to describe an overleveraged company who has been dealing with tight margins, large liabilities on EfW contracts and a crisis in Middle East resulting in a debt so big we all thought there was a credible risk of default just a couple of weeks ago as the “best” on the market. But the company has a fresh and impressive management team with an ongoing turnaround plan - we are being told that 2018 earnings are ahead of market expectations and refinancing is being finalised - 50m interest and 20% dilution. Even the bears here have conceded this was close to the best deal shareholders could have hoped for. Market conditions have improved for the company. In offenders rehabilitation and construction the Government has published a number of documents that indicate an increase in margins for the sector - also to ensure sustainability of outsourcers (it’s been a sector wide crisis). Carillion - the number one competitor - has collapsed. This has been downplayed but it’s a massive positive for the earning prospects of Interserve. This might not be the best company on the market, but I think that it is still priced for a risk of bankruptcy that will not happen - so it’s one of the best bargains on the market. Brokers indicate an average target price of 134p (or an upside of 50% from today’s price point). I’m positive about Interserve’s prospects and see these pockets of price instability as a buying opportunity. For those new to this blog, I’m an investor in the company. | aendjo
27/3/2018 09:45 | yes one of the best to short indeed! | ih_127877

27/3/2018 09:15 | ......the share price SHOULD end down....... Not 'might' but 'should'. Blimey, I wish I had the same crystal ball as you........ | dexdringle
27/3/2018 09:04 | AS I SAID EARLIER The share price should end down today.. if so its to 80 quicker than I thought.. TREND! | ih_127877
27/3/2018 08:57 | dex .. Had a quick scan of the H117 accounts but couldn't spot any breakout of wages. Probably hard to even ballpark front line wage bill, as a significant portion of workers are part timers | southernman
27/3/2018 08:17 | If IRV employ 80,000 people then the wages must be at least £200 million a month ? That's £2.5 billion a year. Turnover is only £3.5 billion isn't it ? How can they possibly be absorbing such a high wage bill relative to gross turnover ? | dexdringle |
