My take is Debbie doing a good job. It's a reset or reorganising the furniture. I've done ok with IRV bought and sold twice this week but also remain an investor and currently on my buy list each month through Equiniti monthly share purchase. Not completely out of the woods but there is light that we can all see. Could be ups and down as bulls and bears clash but it should be the bears who do better. Proceed with some caution All in my opinion

btw - I think the short tracker increase is a 'red herring' ...i think tis slightly delayed ...one fund increased on 22nd but that was probably before the shock announcement....I did say they wanted to catch them (one day)...I didnt expect news till next week and nor did they!!
so lets see what the tracker says at close of play today

aendjo....ignore the whingers on here...its a mixture of no balls and no money and scared when the share price got roasted..THATS why you focus on the BUSINESS fundamentals.
Your share price predictions are NOT WRONG. its about the PLAN....all this lot on here bang on about is interest rates etc. There are some MASSIVE things planned for the business over next 12 months.. When I get details I will share with you.

For goodness sake, it is not 25% !

They have enlarged the share capital such that the lenders then own 20% of the enlarged capital. Existing shareholders then own 80%.

This is EXACTLY the same as if we (existing holders) each 'gifted' 1 share of every 5 we owned to the lenders. But if you issue new shares to achieve that instead then because the overall number of shares in issue will be larger, to create a 20% shateholding you need to create new shares equal to 25% of the number current issued.

Example:

There are 100 shares in issue. We want to give a new party 20%. We could simply gift them 20 of our EXISTING shares. That would leave us with 80 out of 100 (80% obviously). Or we could create 25 new shares and keep our 100. There are then 125 new shares in issue of which we own 100 (still 80%).

In this scenario, you cannot create a 20% shareholding by creating new shares which are 20% of the current number. If you did that you would be creating 20 new shares making 120 in total. The owner of the new 20 shares would only own 16% of the company (20 out of 120)

Come on nige, this is simple maths....

It's a bit hard to give a gist - a lot of detail- but the author (I think the joint editor) overall makes it a sell.

Yes lenders are supporting..... That's what they do... It's FREE MONEY for lenders on the interest. If irv defaults, the lenders will take the company and assets, as senior creditors. Thats how they make their money... Duuurh

Au contraire - the lenders are not stupid - when someone finally gets around to revealing the interest rate we will see what their "pound of flesh" looks like. They also get to buy for a pittance 20% of the company - making a heap more profit on those shares than anyone on here will.
