23/4/2007 07:26 | Reading the RNS again, it seems to me that they probably have already had interest from a potential bidder. Otherwise, why include all the stuff about the Takeover Code? If they'd just asked Altium to carry out a strategic review of their options I wouldn't have thought any reference to the Takeover Code would be necessary at this stage. Or is that just wishful thinking on my part? | spacecowboy3
23/4/2007 07:24 | Can we take it that this news means there has been an approach? | ![]() the analyst

23/4/2007 07:19 | Me too. At least, it's a surprise to come at this early stage of development. Could make the AGM a bit more interesting tomorrow... | ![]() the analyst
23/4/2007 07:09 | Well this is a surprise, to me at least - IBG would like to inform shareholders that, following several years of sustained sales and earnings growth, the Board has decided to undertake a strategic review. The Board is working in conjunction with its retained Nominated Advisor and Broker, Altium, in considering strategic options to maximise shareholder value, including the possible sale of the Company. The Board is pleased to confirm that trading is in line with current management expectations. I wonder if they've had potential bidders sniffing around or whether this is completely a proactive measure on Maz's part? Maybe we'll get some clues at tomorrow's AGM. | spacecowboy3
22/4/2007 13:57 | Ken, the dgm thread has a link to this bullish article on dgm: It says Moss recently sold his house in order to raise £250k to buy more shares - I assume this is in addition to the ones he bought at the end of last year? Either way, it is the first bullish article I've read about dgm in many a long year, so looks like you may well have picked another recovery story at the optimum moment! 123 | 12345th
22/4/2007 10:08 | DaveMac As niggle said Alexa is not that reliable an indicator as it only registers PC,s with the Alexa toolbar installed,If you compare AF with Affiliate Window and Moneysupermarket.com on the Alexa site you will see similar performances. Moneysupermaket.com is featured in the Times today and is quoted as the fastest growing website in Britain with 4 million customers and is valued at 1 billion pound but their Alexa stats are pretty close to AF. 12345th I bought a million DGM but the rising cost base compared to rising Turnover is frightening also the move into Singapore is likely to be costly and fraught with language difficulties so unless they can rein in costs its goig to be a long haul Ken | ![]() kenatbabken
21/4/2007 23:46 | 12345 Looks like affiliate window is a serious contenter to afuture, well they always have been. Growth and earnings have been very similar percentage and profit The onli difference is that aw hasnt changed much since its last reporting, af had only just about entered the travel industry and seem to be ploughing into it full steam ahead. The travel industry as you can understand is one of the biggest online sectors to be in now, finance; lots of competition. I wont make it to the agm I trust the loyals will report back here | ![]() hirschnathan
21/4/2007 20:52 | Does that augur well for ibg ken? Also, did you recently make a big investment in dgm? Do you think they will also rise from the ashes?? Thanks. | 12345th

21/4/2007 09:10 | the charts in the header showing the daily reach don't look too impressive - down about 50% since Jan. (I am a holder looking for reasons for the sluggish share price performance) | ![]() davemac3

20/4/2007 14:54 | Cheers, LB. Are you going? | ![]() aleman
20/4/2007 11:49 | Cheers aleman. Yes, from looking on the map, it's a short walk up from Moorgate, but also easily walkable from Liverpool Street if easier to get to. Shame it's not at their new offices, as it would be nice to look around. Plus, I could walk there from where I live! I've seen the offices, but no shop front has appeared yet, it was still all covered up last time I looked. Good chip shop nearby. | ![]() the analyst
20/4/2007 11:38 | Aleman Yes Moorgate is the nearest tube station - only about 100 metres away. | ![]() lord buffett

20/4/2007 10:27 | Is Moorgate the nearest tube station for the AGM? I'm saying overnight off the M1 near Stanmore tube station if anyone else is coming down from up North. | ![]() aleman |
