22/10/2020 07:10 | I did warn you, today yet another warning , look for half a dozen more. sunshine Today14 Oct '20 - 12:35 - 20334 of 20383 Edit 0 1 0 From just a month or so ago : There has also been no change to the Group's downside planning scenario, which was used to determine the size of the Capital Increase. The downside scenario includes a reduction in capacity in terms of ASKs of 66% in 2020 and 35% in 2021 relative to 2019. IAG considers that further downside to the latest planning scenario is more likely to be in the form of delays or extensions to the recovery trajectory, for example as a result of partial travel restrictions, rather than a return to full lockdown. //////////////////// 2021 off just 35% is clearly nuts. Look for around twice that reduction, next year. | ![]() sunshine today
22/10/2020 07:03 | And "another" profit warning... (In response to the high uncertainty of the current environment, IAG now plans for capacity in 4Q 2020 to be no more than 30 per cent compared to 2019. As a result, the Group no longer expects to reach breakeven in terms of Net cash flows from operating activities during 4Q 2020)... | ![]() soho2

20/10/2020 16:30 | Tests will become cheaper quicker and routine. IAG will be able to slash staff salaries by firing and hiring from the legions of airline staff made redundant. Unions have no leverage as there is now a ready supply of labour. Heathrow 3rd runway is history which means no costs passed on and continued dominance at the airport. Will also be able to pick up landing slots from busy airlines. Fuel prices look set to stay low for a while. Fleet average age is now newer and more fuel efficient. 20/10/2020 09:18 | Tests before flying is exactly the type of catalyst that will trigger a recovery in the airline industry... let's face it British Airways are not going bust, not while humans continue to fly. Another plus is airlines reopening may trigger a rise in oil & gas industry too | jason_scrap
