17/10/2019 10:03 | 10/17/2019 | 06:21am BST HEATHROW airport has come under fresh pressure to increase competition between airlines, amid concerns over a monopoly by British Airways owner International Airlines Group (IAG). A survey commissioned by Virgin Atlantic has suggested 57 per cent of British travellers support more choice of airline at Heathrow, one day after the transport secretary backed calls for more competition. Transport secretary Grant Shapps said it is "incredibly important" to open up competition at the airport. Heathrow currently allocates more than half of its take-off and landing slots to IAG. The next largest groups are Lufthansa and Virgin Atlantic, with eight per cent and seven per cent of Heathrow slots respectively. A Heathrow spokesperson said: "To secure these benefits for passengers, the government needs to reform the current slot allocation system. It must encourage competition and choice amongst all airlines." City A.M., source Newspaper | florenceorbis

17/10/2019 08:05 | Quick reminder BBC1 8pm Watchdog features the increasing number of fume events onboard said airline what does this mean for the crew and customers onboard health risks explained also the recent Valencia evacuation. | applepieinthesky

16/10/2019 15:00 | No. There was only a tiny volume of 136 actual buy / sell trades of IAG ADRs on the US market yesterday - and only 15 so far today, mainly sells. So why are you mega-ramping again? Ready for the pump-and-dump presumably? | fjgooner
16/10/2019 14:39 | Yanks took this to 518p last night in the US, will they do the same later. | montyhedge

16/10/2019 14:15 | Press would slaughter Balpa and Brian Strutton, TC workers down the food bank and BA pilots more than 11.5%. That's why they called off strikes. Would be an embarrassment for BA pilots.Soon be back to 550p boys, bumper dividend couple of weeks time.A lot of pilots own shares, they will be happy. | montyhedge
16/10/2019 14:05 | 300 TC pilots means nothing a legal strike in the UK protects workers unlike what this Tory Boy Monty would like | applepieinthesky
16/10/2019 14:01 | re post 11565: I can't believe the gall of montyhedge above to continue posting this blatant drivel. I suppose he'll happily post the opposite & correct view when he's dumped again and once more gone short on IAG. It is absolutely clear that IAG won't be going back into that index UNLESS the UK stays in the EU and Brexit is completely binned. grupo, Presumably your 2nd post above answers your 1st, as that article makes it pretty straight forward. | fjgooner
16/10/2019 13:53 | Yes that's why they bottle it and call off September strikes. 300 TC pilots on the dole. | montyhedge
16/10/2019 13:24 | Been talking to a few pilots last few days all ready for a longer walkout so 425-450 range will soon be the norm. Oh don't forget Watchdog BBC1 Thursday 8pm about the toxic fume events mostly concerning that french manufacturer. | applepieinthesky |
