No.

There was only a tiny volume of 136 actual buy / sell trades of IAG ADRs on the US market yesterday - and only 15 so far today, mainly sells. So why are you mega-ramping again? Ready for the pump-and-dump presumably?

Press would slaughter Balpa and Brian Strutton, TC workers down the food bank and BA pilots more than 11.5%. That's why they called off strikes. Would be an embarrassment for BA pilots.Soon be back to 550p boys, bumper dividend couple of weeks time.A lot of pilots own shares, they will be happy.

300 TC pilots means nothing a legal strike in the UK protects workers unlike what this Tory Boy Monty would like

re post 11565:

I can't believe the gall of montyhedge above to continue posting this blatant drivel. I suppose he'll happily post the opposite & correct view when he's dumped again and once more gone short on IAG.

It is absolutely clear that IAG won't be going back into that index UNLESS the UK stays in the EU and Brexit is completely binned.

grupo,

Presumably your 2nd post above answers your 1st, as that article makes it pretty straight forward.

Yes that's why they bottle it and call off September strikes. 300 TC pilots on the dole.

Been talking to a few pilots last few days all ready for a longer walkout so 425-450 range will soon be the norm. Oh don't forget Watchdog BBC1 Thursday 8pm about the toxic fume events mostly concerning that french manufacturer.

a little puzzled

if uk is out out of EU surely its still in the global index

if it pulls out would it not be classified as still in europe

if IAG is no longer in, all other uk companies would be out or am i missing something

In a polite and hopefully helpful reply to montyhedge post 11556.

Some obvious answers to your questions:

1. If a Brexit deal done, does that mean IAG gets back into the MSCI Global Index. They were delisted from this over foreign ownership rules fear of Brexit

===> No. When a Brexit deal is done, the UK will no longer be in the EU so quite obviously the same reasons for the MSCI Global Index would apply. As I'm sure you well know. Only if the UK were to remain in the EU would this situation be subject to any such change.

2. Shares were 675p going to 850p when funds had to dump.

===> No they weren't. There is no evidence whatsoever that shares were "going to 850p". The direction of travel could have equally be up or down at that point. Some may say that sort of comment is simply distortion.

3. Does that mean they have to buy to get their weighting’s back up.
===> No - not at all.

4. If IAG reinstated.
===> No - IAG will not be reinstated to the MSCI Global Index as explained above under the foreign ownership rules. Whether a No Deal Brexit or Boris Johnson's Deal on Brexit, the UK will no longer be in the EU.

Shareprice taking a breather, then on towards 550p boys. Of course profit taking by some, no harm taking a profit.

Good figures last night from United Airlines, boosted the sector in US. That's why IAG went to 518p in US.

Lol, you not mentioning strikes anymore, seeing Balpa called off strikes, now it's something else, it would be the airplane manufacturer not the airline, if there was a problem.

Don't forget watchdog Thursday BBC1 about fume events on BA aircraft should be interesting to see the compensation going forward in time.
