usually hedge for about 3 years going forwards with the hedge reducing to circa 10% at the end of the term BUT they constantly review their hedged positions. IAG are very good at it.

But arn't the forward looking indicators based on historical performance ?
i'e charting, moving averages etc

That's historical, stock market is a forwarding looking indicator.

Might indeed go lower but best short in the FTSE? P/E of around 7 here. Some FTSE 100companies have P/E in the 20's...

Storm in a tea cup...

Oil price down again Today. Also, traders are betting that the oil price shall continue to fall.

...nothing to see here, move along!

I think Walsh is probably trying to rattle Norwegian shareholders regarding future earnings but it hasn't helped the IAG SP, for now.

Can't agree monty. More inclined to agree with neil.
As for the hedging finishing ? It doesn't. Usually airlines hedge as long as 3 years ahead, with the hedge reducing to circa 10% towards the end of the period.
IAG are currently hedged 70% for the whole of 2018.
In good shape compared to Norwegian who are only hedged 25% apparently.

I'd say that EZJ is a better bet....should you be looking for a short. I'd not want to short a company that's only just started a buyback!!

Really you can't see why 3% drop, to me IAG best short in the Footsie at the moment.

3 year high for fuel, its like a tax on the airlines, when the hedging they have put in place, finishes. The French strike not helping but that could be over soon.

The French are always on strike, it's a national past time.
As for oil prices , IAG are well hedged for the rest of 2018 so any increases in fuel costs will have a lower impact than with other carriers, such as Norwgian.
Doesn't explain a 3% drop in the share price

Rising oil prices and French strike action affects all airlines.
