Already have a good holding in PHGP. Seems we're on the same page. |
a lot of money in the market looking for good investment opportunity such as IAG. Not surprise of the sharp rise. RR is also a good example, gold is the other |
Brokers finally waking up and doing the maths, naming it as share of 2025.Worked that one out at least a year ago. Stellar cash generation paying off large debt quickly. Brokers were too hung up on debt figure to look at cash generation for a while. A decent dive into figures would have shown the potential. Still plenty of upside. |
Shorters closing their positions heading for the exit, reducing their losses. |
Fully respect your view. Personally feel very comfortable with all the very positive forecasts and general vibe around it. They made some tough decisions recently but despite them it's still soaring. Shows real resilience for me. Real good year ahead for me then we see new FIRST rolling out in 2026.... I guess 5 will be earliest for me to consider the sell option but that is very conservative for me. GLA |
It was close to 7 back then. Look at the amount of shares in issue now. We're already back to old 7 quid at these levels. Can't see it doubling again as history shows the sector is so up and down, the next downturn won't be far away. Totally happy to be wrong mind but I'll most likely be out for good if we get to 4 quid soon as it's too high risk for me now. |
400 by Easter looks within easy reach now, maybe a bit higher as Easter later this year |
Chief I am surprised you think that. Look at where this was 4 months ago. As mentioned before it was 180 and nearly doubled. Let's remember again where this was pre covid. It was close to 7 at one stage and the business model is as strong now as it was then. Id argue stronger. EOY results are almost certainly going to be very impressive. Morgan are one of the best brokers out there imo and rarely are far off.I see no reason barring any crazy stuff why 500 wont be reached this year. Re Trump hes likely to end the Ukraine war soon and we must realise everything he says is with a business head on and how to make deals. The media always get him wrong or like to. The whole tariff thing is purely to strengthen his negation starting point going forward . GLA |
These circa 1% rises each day will do for me. 1% today is worth twice as much as 1% six months ago. Long May it continue |
5.50 is crazy (imo). That's like 12 squid in old money (pre covid). When it reached what, 6-7 quid. God knows how these analysts calculate their numbers from. We'll have a better idea in a few weeks as to whether that's pie in the sky. |
Yep. V confident results will be extremely good with a great potential for 2025 imo. Does make 400 now possible much earlier than I ever thought. GLA |
And that's upgrades before results, more to come after imo. |
Thanks Dave for that update. Great to hear |
JPM raise IAG 5.50. (5.00) |
Thanks 1spitfire Have a good weekend |
4.00 to 4.50 by most of the key brokers incl Morgan and Duetche. It's the boat to be on for sure as Feb EOY results I sense will testify too. GLA |
What are broker targets here guys please? |
Certainly testing new highs

Looks like 340 is coming by the end of the day |

Really? Care to elaborate. |
Civil service. Bin men (do it privately for cheaper). Upper NHS management. Bloated county council staff. The list is endless. Most of it is grossly inefficient and hugely expensive (just look at the Ponzi scheme that is public sector pensions). |
what an interesting finish! |
sorry wrong board. Defo not 16p here! |
All looking good here.
ChiefBrody (31520 above) says we need to cut 2m public sector jobs. Fascinating but what work would you not want doing- NHS, police, care workers? It's so easy to say cut, but harder to say what. |
