if uk is out out of EU surely its still in the global index

if it pulls out would it not be classified as still in europe

if IAG is no longer in, all other uk companies would be out or am i missing something

In a polite and hopefully helpful reply to montyhedge post 11556.

Some obvious answers to your questions:

1. If a Brexit deal done, does that mean IAG gets back into the MSCI Global Index. They were delisted from this over foreign ownership rules fear of Brexit

===> No. When a Brexit deal is done, the UK will no longer be in the EU so quite obviously the same reasons for the MSCI Global Index would apply. As I'm sure you well know. Only if the UK were to remain in the EU would this situation be subject to any such change.

2. Shares were 675p going to 850p when funds had to dump.

===> No they weren't. There is no evidence whatsoever that shares were "going to 850p". The direction of travel could have equally be up or down at that point. Some may say that sort of comment is simply distortion.

3. Does that mean they have to buy to get their weighting’s back up.
===> No - not at all.

4. If IAG reinstated.
===> No - IAG will not be reinstated to the MSCI Global Index as explained above under the foreign ownership rules. Whether a No Deal Brexit or Boris Johnson's Deal on Brexit, the UK will no longer be in the EU.

Shareprice taking a breather, then on towards 550p boys. Of course profit taking by some, no harm taking a profit.

Good figures last night from United Airlines, boosted the sector in US. That's why IAG went to 518p in US.

Lol, you not mentioning strikes anymore, seeing Balpa called off strikes, now it's something else, it would be the airplane manufacturer not the airline, if there was a problem.

Thanks for that cyberian.

Just checked and yes you are right - 100,975 ADR shares traded over a tiny volume of 136 actual buy / sell trades on the US market. Hardly worth focussing on really.

Aren't the IAG ADRs extremely thinly traded. Around 100 or so trades per day from the entire US market?

Could someone confirm?

Don't post complete and utter rubbish, you been on about strikes, now Balpa bottled it and called off strikes, your trawling the internet for old negative news.

BA / IAG have known all along this is serious but have kept it hidden disgraceful behavior from a so called world airline. I even heard one high up manager blamed it on the cheese sold in the Tapas box sold onboard unbelievable.
