Share buyback should be bullish -- but it's not really that reliable indicator --- depends on the business.I have started to close my bullish positions and now opening short positions at 570p (against the trend).I am expecting a peak price soon -- 590-610p, followed by summer sell-off back to 520-550-ish.Just my guess work -- 50% chance of getting it wrong.

BA Carried 100 million passengers in 2016

‘Consumers value what they get from BA. If they didn’t, you wouldn’t have customers or see the numbers growing. Sales on board have been well in excess of what we expected.

Warren Buffet still interested in airlines. Analysts at Morgan Stanley say that: "based on historical precedent and the state of the airline] industry a full-scale acquisition of an airline by Mr Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway investment firm is a possibility, particularly if the stocks weaken”.

Is today price move north the result of W. Buffett effect? Look what City AM said:
US AIRLINE shares took off after renowned investor Warren Buffett’s firm Berkshire Hathaway considerably upped its stake in the sector. American Airlines rose 2.1 per cent, Delta Air Lines flew up 2.6 per cent, Southwest Airlines added 3.6 per cent and United Continental Holidays added 2.7 per cent at the close of trading last night.

On Tuesday, Berkshire disclosed a $9.3bn (£7.5bn) holding in the industry and has spent more than $2.1bn each on shares of four carriers. Berkshire spent $2.15bn on 43.2m shares of Southwest, upped its stake in Delta by 60m shares and increased its position in American Airlines too. Alaska Airlines received a bump too, though Berkshire did not reveal shares in the carrier, as its shares increased 1.3 per cent

600p later this year again should easily be attainable given no monster oil spike/nutters blowing up planes.
