The Office of Management and Budget on Feb. 3 directed agencies to "develop and issue an implementation policy, by March 31, 2011, through which the agency will require the use of the PIV credentials as the common means of authentication for access to that agency's facilities, networks, and information systems.

HRI's annual report to 31/12/10 has just been published and lists that its IGP stake was worth £1.368m as at that date, which my maths says is approx 1.9m shares or just under a 4% stake. So, HRI should be listed as a substantial shareholder on IGP's website etc.

Heres more information on TSCP.

TSCP is designed to help government agencies and contractors collaborate on international projects, and serves as a secure platform for exchanging information on complex, confidential projects.

Tim Brown, chief security architect and distinguished engineer at CA, told conference attendees that the system is designed for extremely large projects such as the construction of naval vessels.

"When they build an aircraft carrier, 50,000 partners is common. Collaboration is no longer just an option," he said.

Companies must be able to ensure the security of information when dealing with such complex operations, as well as remain updated on credentials and clearances so that terminated employees are not sent potentially sensitive information.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm anticipating a cluster of in-coming contracts, especially as our piv-1 team is the only format for companies that interoperate with the usa government, at the moment.

symantec/intercede must take advantage of this head start and start pushing their format strongly to take advantage of this early bird situation. on a plus note 80 odd companies are interested otherwise they wouldn't have turned up to see the product launch.

Lots of good times ahead to look forward to.

Partner gemalto are starting on amercian hospitals now.

Gemalto's Protiva suite contains smart card technology to provide hospital staff with two-factor authentication for authorized user access to the hospital network. They can use either one-time passwords or public key infrastructure (PKI) as the underlying authentication technology, and offers digital signature capabilities.
