237 - I cannot immediately find any new reference to the ActivIdentity patent case. I was mildly amused by finding the DT comment on Intercede at the time - to quote,
"Intercede may be an exciting opportunity with cutting-edge technology, but, in the current climate, Questor readers could find much safer havens. Avoid."

The share price at the time of the DT aricle was in the low 20's and has nearly doubled since. How many of their 'safer havens' have done that?

One thing that the article did say (remember it's only a press comment) was that the detailed infringement complaint had to be filed within 120 days. If true, that expired on 29th Jan 2009 (assuming original filing was on 1 Oct 2008). However, there are often let-outs in the form of late filing fees.

Will post again if I unearth anything.

and up she goes again.....we have risen over 20% in the last 5 trading days and on no news what so ever??? Either the decision with the loan note holders has been agreed and they will convert meaning the uncertainty of the company has been taken away slightly and/or there has been news in the courts over the activIdentity lawsuit in the US that this has now been dropped.

What ever it is I would like both issues to be mentioned in the year end trading statement as to their progress along with updates on some of the contracts ongoing. Over to you Mr. Parris.

if they paid 44p for 10k then I guess this will be blue again tomorrow. when the ftse is down 5% this company is bucking the trend. recession proof as goverments will not cut back in security spending especially with programs like the TWIC card and HSPD contracts. plenty more to come here.

Hopefully there's a contract behind this recent rise and we can get even more money in before the end of March.

jb - Apparently someone thinks so as they just spent (as nearly as possible) £10k on that block at 44p (plus sdrt and commission on top).
We have to hope they're right.

Even in a bad market like this igp is looking solid. im happy for the price to stay around 41p for a couple of weeks before moving up a 1p a day as we get nearer results day.

Dont like shares shoot up to quickly in straight lines, they seem to come down just as quick.

unsual big VOLUME for AIM companies is normally good. id be surpised to hear any type of news until results day, and contract wins would probably be added to the results statement.

It will interesting in march to see if the volume continues.

Looking at the trades, there looks like they were fairly large sells, so you would expect that there is a large buyer mopping them up, why else is the share price be rising.

guys 123k shares traded on friday?!?!?!? thats more shares traded in one day in nearly a year. somethings going on here....what if the loan note holders are buying? if the already hold and will convert, what % of the company will they then hold? all it would take is to make an offer for Richard parris's holding at around £1 and he would be tempted im sure???

just seems very odd here that the volume is picking up well before the nxt trading statement is due in early April...either there will be a new contract news released next week or someone has a hidden agenda here....

whatever it is its good to see the shar price finally pick up to where it should b and hopefully we break the 45p barrier very soon.

I think being bullish in the dotcom boom when loss making shares were continuing up in a very bullish market and being bullish with IGP with its relative strength in a stinky market are somewhat different strategies ;-)

Put it another way, this share was at 30-70p in a very bullish market and now its at 40p in a rubbish market and rising.

Thats what happened to some shares like ASOS back in 2003 - they recovered quicker than the main market because they were starting out - no rubbish track record, just pure potential, good business model and well run.

Thats why some folks do very well out of bad times - they KNOW that somewhere amongst the rubble there are very good business opportunities because unlike the impression given by the press, things are still being bought, machines are still being used etc. etc. Just different things.

Now I've got to get back to my cycle repair shop to cope with the boom.

yump - more bullish the higher a share price goes? Sounds rather irrational to me! But good luck, IGP looks to be on a run for now... :0)

I guess nows the time to find the stocks that are showing relative strength in such a poor market and that have got a good intact story to tell. 'Intact' being the operative word - there seem to be plenty with 'great potential' supposedly working towards profit while continuing to issue shares. Usually with what you might call a traders pattern in them ie. up one month, back down the next.

I like the way IGP's recent rise hasn't been vertical as well... gives some confidence that there's an investor base to it.

Doubling and a new high in this economic climate has got to be one of the most bullish things I've seen for some time. Not even companies with healthy profit records are doing that from their apparent bottoms on the charts.

APHRO THINK you going to have to forget about your 33p top-up now mate.
Think we have a new buyer, cb from the iii thread has told his wealthy friend and it looks like he started buying from yesterday.

The volumes are too small imo to draw any particular conclusion - so I agree about the thinness of the market. The good news is perhaps that any overhang is now finished/seller out and there are not many shares around.

MM's don't want to hold much (any?) stock and if the odd penny on the share price doesn't produce a seller to match a buyer the share price has to be run up to choke off any more buying, then run back to flush out traders - or something like that. It illustrates how thin the market is atm.
Movements like this usually suggest news is imminent. Not necessarily a leak - could be intelligent anticipation based on who's recently booked a ticket to where, etc.

ITS looking that way pyman.
hopefully this will rise to the mid-40,s at least pre results, so when the results come out, we will get some new investors which will create a new platform.

are we in a squeeze? 24000 and share price had to rise 3-5p!

Exactly my point igoe. no sells now for over a week and look what happens to the price. it jumps immediately there is some buying pressure. 10% up on 40,000 shares traded is rather odd for the 25th Feb when no new news has been released?

Is there another contract leak? Hopefully we can break the 45p barrier by results time as we havent been there since June 07 and we have come along way since then.

Not sure whats happening with RSA igoe? I think IGP are trying to filter that relationship out now that we are in with Lockheed Martin...But I could be wrong.
