Apologies - Kieran Callan's Apr 19 share purchase was 4800, not 504800!

Yes, you'd certainly think Directors would delay any purchases if H2 forecasts weren't on track. That said, they've all been very small add-ons and their holdings remain low. Joseph Bayer (Exec Dir/FD) bought 5000 shares in Feb 19, taking his total to 28180. Kieran Callan (CEO) bought 504800 shares in Apr 19, taking his total to 15800. Ross Andrews (NED) bought 15000 shares today, taking his total to 30000. I suspect there'll be several PIs here with larger holdings than that.

That's 3 of the BOD that have now purchased since any trading information was last released - I'm confident we're on track to deliver H2 expectations based on that.

Another director buy just in - They know what H2 is looking like and are confident by the looks of it. Follow the money.

This share seems to be treading water at the present time (probably no bad thing!)

Apologies for the 260 calculation, I had meant 360 (a couple of days off) and retail only.I did caveat with Broad Brush extrapolationMy basic point is that the volumes reported are not significant. £3 average was a guesstimate blend over all products (mitts and serum inc)I have no alter ego or multiple accounts.I am long IDP but cautious, previously they warned on the Q1 / H1 update when they had been Uber positive.I was hoping they would report big launch orders from Boots.

I think that is the really interesting point. Obv only one day of sales so don't want to get carried away extrapolating this too far but def something worth monitoring and another piece of anecdotal info that leads me to anticipate strong FY revenue growth (and hopefully profits!) .

This is online only add in 1300 stores and the numbers should be a lot higher. The comparisons with St tropez are interesting. I believe they're doing £20 million a year with Boots. And we're holding our own with them.

Yes most of these are a lower unit cost to the consumer. Both brands currently have the same Boots promotional discount running across them also.

Thanks tallprawn - that's a useful comparison. Am I also right in thinking St Tropez has lower average SPs (making Skinny Tan's outsell even more impressive)?

A comparison to St Tropez which I believe was Boots bestselling 2018 fake tan range by brand -St Tropez gradual shower lotion 26St Tropez everyday gradual tan light/medium 16St Tropez everyday gradual tan medium/dark 18St Tropez self tan express bronzing mousse 28St Tropez self tan classic bronzing mousse 10These are the top 5 St Tropez products when ranked by bestseller. Wonder Serum, Coconut Mist and Tan/Tone oil have all outsold the St Tropez ranked bestsellers in the last 24 hours.

If you read what I actually wrote, you'll see I was dismissing hatfullofsky's methodolgy. I'm hardly likely to disagree with myself now, am I?

hatfullofsky is nothing to do with me. Just puzzled why no-one queried his/her calculations in terms of the valid number of days per year. 260? I thought online operated 24/7 and bricks & mortar 7 days a week, excluding just a handful of public holidays

So many questions about your calculations. What are you trying to calculate? 1 day sample?, one channel? 260 days? £2? Using the figures from a forum?

A few issues with your rational there -It's a new range to Boots so incremental business in the main. The weather hasn't also been great in the last 24 hours so not representative of summer volume in my view. Also - Your £2 average unit cost is likely to be well out. Serum and Coconut Mist for example will be sold to Boots at a lot more than £2 per unit.BTW - Your posting history/style is remarkably similar to LordofLolly... Same person keen on deramping by any chance?

Good ? - take a broad brush extrapolation

On-line 83 items x £2 = £166 per day x 260 = £43,160 pa (and that's retail)
Retail 359 items x £2 = £718 per day x 260 = £186,600 pa

And this is peak season ?

I'm not impressed

Boots are selling a far wider range of products in good numbers - More than I expected.

Good news as far as I'm concerned.

Boots website is showing how many items of products are being purchased in a day. The ST serum has sold 36 today and the tanning mitt 100+. Looking at the numbers compared to other product selling numbers it looks like all of the Skinny Tan range is selling very well in comparison to the other brands. Good sign!
