12/3/2018 23:26 | Well I hope you're right jam4u2. I wonder how Boots in Ireland is performing. A skim read of the half year results suggests a successful launch but I couldn't see any mention of subsequent sales performance, a la Superdrug. | gleach23
12/3/2018 22:01 | gleach, I dont think it was as much a surprise as some may think... My thinking is that as SD wanted more exclusivity and IDP werent willing to give it, in pursuit of other distribution deals, then SD not taking more stock was likely a real possibility. The Q now is is there a Boots deal in the offing ... given they were keen when SkinnyTan launched in Boots Ireland AND i believe Boots UK have shown interest AND according to IDP's brokers exclusivity with SD ends Aug this year ot s looking increasingly likely to me. | jam4u2
12/3/2018 20:32 | Good folks need to be certain on SCSW - their March commentary was clearly put together pre - the most recent wet blanket from IDP and written when the share price was 198.50p, as shown in the mag. So don't let anyone kid you. I reckoned a £pound to a penny that some would look to make capital from the now outdated conclusion of the positive March SCSW and as sure as eggs is eggs..... Best to wait for their April shout to see how they feel then, lol. Also, ample time to save up the pennies for the real thing. f | fillipe
12/3/2018 20:12 | Thanks folks. I guess the article must have read a bit out of date given the news since. Sums up the curious optimism of just a few weeks ago. To give the benefit of the doubt to HC, one could assume the lower demand from SD was as much a surprise to him as it has been to investors. | gleach23
12/3/2018 19:14 | Basically, a buy tip. | jam4u2
12/3/2018 18:59 | He’s a little snippet for you...don’t think I’m giving too much away! “Chaudhry says the business is well set to beat its sales forecast of £13.5m in the year ending June, and £19m next year” Sister publication TMI will be out fairly soon so subscribers will learn how the editor views the stock since the abrupt revision to earnings | quant_investor
12/3/2018 18:55 | Yes, great coverage, available, once again, by means of subscription. Unless your investment is tiny, I would once again encourage the relatively small outlay involved in paying for one. No rudeness intended. 😎 | brucie5
12/3/2018 17:46 | It looks to me like an update on IDP was included in SCSW at the weekend so I'm wondering if today's uptick may be related. However there's been no mention of SCSW here. Now that subscribers have had a day to trade since publication, is anyone able briefly summarise what was said please? | gleach23
12/3/2018 17:36 | Thanks spmc. I thought exclusivity ran out Feb 19 so happy that this partially explains SD decision | connor23
12/3/2018 14:50 | From FinCapps response to the note: Given that Superdrug’s exclusive license to sell Skinny Tan expires in August 2018, opening up the possibility of selling through multiple outlets, we expect Superdrug to be prudently managing inventory levels ahead of this. | spmc

12/3/2018 09:04 | Very misleading trades. I bought 1964 @ 126.3p. Looks like anything above 126.00 is a buy. | stimulationengineer
12/3/2018 08:49 | The fall IS way over done here. Soon as other large skinny Tan Stockists come on board..The Next Update RNS IMo will be letting the market know who these are. The Sp here will double todays 125p. Looking WAY oversold now should recover well from these lows..Added a few more myself... | beetroot juice

12/3/2018 08:26 | I started looking at the FB followers around this time last year. At that point we had 214k. Now 284k. Still adding over 1k a week over the year, which looking back at posts from that time was approx the rate back then. Will be interesting to see if this is maintained (for what it's worth). | connor23
12/3/2018 08:14 | I've been out of IDP so didn't read the RNS closely enough last week. It seems clear to me that Skinny Tan is performing well and Roots very well, and both in line with expectations. The problem is that Superdrug have not ordered the quantities that management believe its performance merits. It may be that SD have been offered a deal on another tanning product and are going to prioritise that. However, I can't see this as that much of a negative. IDP presumably needs an amicable ending of the SD exclusivity, which the ex-SD guy we have should know how best to approach, and then IDP needs to launch both St and Roots through multiple channels. Now there is brand awareness and a sales record that should be much easier than 18 months ago. So I am thinking of buying back in as I see this news as an inevitable growing pain rather than anything existential. | mad foetus
12/3/2018 08:09 | ... or a dead cat bounce??? | jam4u2
12/3/2018 08:06 | It looks like this bargain territory for the share price is about to go... | jam4u2
11/3/2018 17:40 | Folks please look for the 'balanced' posts and not the one-sided ones that I am seeing. People need to ask themselves why a Poster might be writing one-sided and then make their own minds up. Better still everyone should do their own research and decide. For instance, I have done my own resreach and I know that cash burn is now being managed very tightly, and that's why product roll-outs will be slowed down. | jam4u2
11/3/2018 16:31 | Beetroot - the thread police - no dissent allowed - don't question the strategy - no constructive critique of management - blinkers on - I see no competition - and the share price ? | croasdalelfc

11/3/2018 16:23 | All women or most women - stop rewriting the thread | croasdalelfc
11/3/2018 16:19 | How can he say it doesn't matter if IDP sign up other distribution channels as DTC is there to order? I didn't say that: I said Skinny Tan had passed peak growth - do you know what that is??I said it would grow more slowly 10-25% a year depending on what new channels or territories they open | croasdalelfc |
