15/2/2018 18:31 | PEs mean nothing with growth stocks. IdP could spend the next 10 years reinvesting all would be profit. Never making a profit after tax. No earnings.. no PE. Just look at amazon. Doesnt really make any profits as its all invested back in for further growth. I dont need to see any profit with IDP. Rather they keep reinvesting any availabke funds. Quite happy for them to store up £50million in losses. That way when its time to draw money from the business we can enjoy the results of the reinvestment. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
15/2/2018 16:56 | Realistic p/e of 12 to 15 or max 20 for a really hot growth stock? That's way too cautious! I think you have to assess each share and its potential independently. I don't think it is unreasonable to have a much higher p/e if the company is young and you trust the management. | verger
15/2/2018 16:21 | And down we go again - Mr Market unhappy (imo) forward p/e too high - In order to get traction in this product catagory need to spend very heavily on all forms of marketing with no guarantee of success. Realistic p/e should be in region of 12 to 15 or max 20 for a really hot growth stock - and this aint one (imo). | pugugly
15/2/2018 11:36 | Pretty encouraging growth rate for roots, 15% week on week over the last 8 weeks. According to my calculation that means Roots sales have tripled in that time period | boffster
15/2/2018 09:35 | let's hope Exec team can do the city rounds and drum up some long term support | qs99
15/2/2018 09:14 | Somebody seems to be consistently buying in chunks of 10,000 shares. Finncap have confirmed their 400p price target and said investors should be reassured by today's statement. | talkman2
15/2/2018 09:05 | No real surprises here today. So probably a good thing. | its the oxman
15/2/2018 08:54 | Looks like its gone into auction | anony mous
15/2/2018 08:53 | Someone is happily buying in 10k chunks which is good to see. A few more of those will help nicely indeed. | tallprawn
15/2/2018 08:44 | Think with the market apparently needing more convincing it needs a bit of caution here as theres doesn't look to be much support between the recent low and the gap at 140p. Could do with a sharp bounce this afternoon imo. | bad gateway
15/2/2018 08:32 | tallprawn, think you hit the nail on the head, they need to show new distributor agreements and solid momentum in the USA to really get this motoring again....otherwise it may drift more IMO...Routes to a bigger market share are IMO what is key to moving this, so Mr Market can see how IDP can get to say a £100m turnover company in say 5+ years | qs99
15/2/2018 08:28 | Boon - I agree and I've also seen the uplift in sales. Any new distributor RNS updates over the next few weeks will definitely help to ensure the share price gets back into an ongoing positive trend. The more confidence and evidence the market can glean that H2 will be delivered, the quicker we'll see an upward turn in share price | tallprawn
15/2/2018 08:18 | Tallprawn,It has to do 100% as you say. However it's been a good start. In the 4 weeks up to 3rd of February SkinnyTan sales at superdrug were up over 100%.Roots is growing 15% week on week. The week ending the 3rd of February it had half the sales of SkinnyTan at superdrug. In other words nearly the same level of sales as Skinny Tan last year.Taking everything into consideration it seems clear why the company is confident of meeting expectations. | boonboon
15/2/2018 08:17 | Just short of break even so all 11.5p to be made in H2. A lot more costs, over and above Boon’s 600k to be incurred yet too ‘As reported in our trading update on 18 January 2018, we advised that there were significant costs relating to product development and pre-launch costs for products which will occur in H2 of the financial year’ Management reassurance is good to hear but with so much to play for it’s quite difficult for anyone to predict full year outcome from here. 15/2/2018 08:16 | I think there is no unknowns in the rns. Blast off could occur when we hear a new major retailer is stocking our products. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
15/2/2018 08:10 | All this great news but the share price keeps dripping. Was hoping it would blast off today.Just hope it dont drift further now. | anony mous
15/2/2018 08:10 | Idp are simply the investment phase. Who knows where roots may be on sale next. No reason why the contacts made with skinny tan will not be fully utilised. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
15/2/2018 08:06 | Roots is certainly gaining traction. 15% week on week is exceptional. I suspect roots will continue to take the lions share of resources and management attention going forward. Happy for the gadgets to take a back seat for a while. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
15/2/2018 07:53 | Talkman - I'm leaning on that point also however I'm not sure all will be fully convinced yet.H1 2017 to H1 2018 growth was 31%.H2 growth to hit expectations is nearly 100% vs 2017 and circa £5m of turnover - Its a big step up. HC still seems confident still so keep the faith. | tallprawn
15/2/2018 07:52 | More jam tomorrow... Will run out of cash again | mudis1
15/2/2018 07:48 | The market should regard the company reiterating tat it is confident of meeting market expectations as a real positive. | talkman2
15/2/2018 07:48 | Sounds all is going to plan and with very little debt which is in house. Appears ripe for a take out . Rumours may surface if roots continue to grow so quickly since launch. | doc robinson
15/2/2018 07:46 | It does to me . Very positive and reassuring update . Expect significant news flow . Great news regarding Roots . I've tried it and it's excellent. | talkman2 |
