well, 'stable' isn't 'buy', but it's better than 'negative'...

good long-term hold, IMHO...

MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Moody's said it has upgraded the outlook on Inmarsat PLC (LSE: ISAT.L - news) and its rated units to stable from negative after the company showed an upward trend in performance in its half year results.

Also, the outlook reflects the greater visibility that now exists with regard to the transaction with CIP UK Holdings Ltd and its acquisition of Stratos Global Corp, together with continued execution of its main strategic initiatives, the rating agency said.

Moody's currently has a 'Ba2' corporate family rating on the UK-based satellite communications group

was that a 150k director buy that just got RNSd at 415p?

if so, very very encouraging...

And up nicely today.... interesting buzz the other day when ISAT had to deny bringing the figures out early because of good results. The action in the last few days suggest to me (as a PI) that they maybe acting overly humble. Good results coming methinks....

Allianz buy in with a significant opening holding 3.02% (if my undestanding of the RNS is correct).

Just up on the DJ newswire:

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Inmarsat (ISAT.LN) has no plans to bring its interim results forward Chris McLaughlin, vice president of corporate and financial communications at Inmarsat, told Dow Jones Newswires Thursday.

His statement follows speculation among traders that the U.K.-based mobile satellite communication services provider may pre-announce its interim results indicating it had a strong quarter.

The shares rallied reaching a high of 423.75 pence earlier as the talk circulated.

Inmarsat is due to announce its interim results July 30.

Healthy rise today despite yesterdays news that Germany is trying to stop more public funding of Gallileo.Just posturing I presume, as they cannot afford to stop the project.

welcome aboard. might be a bumpy ride, but if the satphone and their picocells for aircraft take off reckon they're a shoo-in for being taken over by a large phone company (Vodafone?) at some stage.

All IMHO. DYOR, as I assume you did before you bought...

or maybe those were options that were about to expire anyway so they thought they may as well take them up?

it does seem a bit odd, I grant you, esp when the new satphone is just about to go on sale...

I'm surprised there are no comments on this thread regarding the recent sell off by Directors, it seemed pretty substantial to me? Could it be to do with the Euro contract? I hope bad news doesnt't follow these sales but its often the case...

Verheugen's statement confirms it was worth calling the bluff , even if the numbers aren't out yet.
