So do I, though the long term story for ISAT looks very promising. Would have added more, but spent my reserves yesterday. Took the opportunity to add to RBS which looks too good to be true. (Assuming this isn't the beginning of the world crash, of course!)

Couldn't wait. Just doubled my holding. Giveaway price on a bad market day. Usually good time to buy. Results on the 17th I believe. Hope they're good!

Not sure if they will fall another 11%. Markets are jittery. There is no real reason for the fall, but i'm watching these like a hawk. The big money will be made in the waiting, as the saying goes.

Will top up on these if they fall another 11% or so. Seems to be no fundamental reason for the recent fall.

Totally agree regarding barriers of entry. This is a nice steady earner & I've been using current weakness to add to my long position.

Gulll-

I suspect there was a pause due to the share price run from 280p to 410p , quite a bull run in anybody's book. Some institutions took profits & unloaded in early March
which obviously freed stock onto the market which I assume has now been taken up.

I was given a tip regading this share by one of my mates who works for M*rgan S*anley as he quoted that the potential of the share with the barriers to entry to this type of venture were currently unique.

I am not aware that anything has changed.

I wonder if the topic in the articles below will have an effect on the service? It was at about the same time that these articles were published that the share price started to decend could have been coincidence, just wondering why this slight pull back.

Chaps-

buys outweighing sells today heavy , I'd assume that ISAT is due to revert back towards 400p for this "unique" share. Bought in today at 366p after a little research.

ps. a bit quiet on here for such a good share.

Inmarsat fell back 11-3/4 to 375 after a group of the company's largest investors decided to offload their stakes in the satellite communications giant.

Investment banks acting on behalf of private equity groups Apax Partners and Permira and two other investors yesterday evening announced a placing of around 74 mln shares in Inmarsat, representing 16.2 pct of the issued share capital.

Attention Business Editors:

Canadian Department of National Defense (DND) Selects Stratos for Inmarsat Leased Satellite Capacity Services
- Enhanced Leasing Service (ELS) from Stratos provides twice the
available bandwidth on a standard leased satellite channel to support
advanced data and voice communications on land and at sea -

BETHESDA, MD, March 14 /CNW/ - Stratos Global Corp. (TSX: SGB), a leading
global communications provider and the world's leading distributor of Inmarsat
satellite services, today announced it has been awarded a National Individual
Standing Offer (NISO) by the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) to
provide Inmarsat leased satellite capacity services in support of land and
sea-based operations.
The three-year award, with an estimated total value of CDN$25 million,
will facilitate the renewal of longer-term leased capacity services that the
Canadian DND currently has with Stratos, as well as providing a mechanism for
additional capacity as required. The offer also includes two one-year options
for extension after the conclusion of the initial term in 2009.
As part of the award, Stratos will provide the Canadian DND with its
Enhanced Leasing Service (ELS), which uses advanced modem modulation
techniques to increase throughput on a standard 100 kHz Inmarsat leased
satellite channel from 64 kbps to 128 kbps without the need for additional
space segment. With ELS, military and large commercial maritime fleets have
twice the available bandwidth to support voice, data and fax communications,
including ship-based crew calling and e-mail, using Inmarsat-B satellite
systems.
In addition, ELS allows multiple terminals to simultaneously share a
single leased channel, with per-terminal, user-controlled data rates of 32,
64, 96, and 128 kbps, in any combination up to the combined maximum rate of
128 kbps.
Stratos is the leading global provider of Inmarsat leased channel
services and the only Inmarsat Land Earth Station Operator (LESO) with
facilities and installed equipment to access all five Inmarsat second-
generation satellites, which together provide coverage in nearly every part of
the world.
"Stratos has proven itself as a reliable provider of advanced data and
voice communications services for the Canadian Department of National Defence
in the past," said LCdr Dave Munro of the Canadian Department of National
Defence. "This established reputation, combined with the higher bandwidth and
increased flexibility of Stratos' Enhanced Leasing Service, were major factors
in our decision to select Stratos for our Inmarsat leased satellite services
requirements."
"We're proud to have been selected by the Canadian Department of National
Defence to provide Inmarsat leased channel services in support of their land
and sea-based operations," said Jim Parm, president and chief executive
officer for Stratos. "As the market leader, Stratos is continually working to
introduce new service offerings, such as our Enhanced Leasing Service, that
will provide additional value for our customers and allow us to remain the
satellite communications provider of choice for government, military and
commercial organizations throughout the world."

Satellite operator Inmarsat has exciting plans for its network, and has enormous growth potential. It wants talks with US mobile and fixed-line operators about allowing them to use its satellites to fill holes in their networks.

Via Con - I've been in ISAT for 6 months and am showing a 21% gain to date. I think it's prospects are good - not that that's a particularly reliable indication - and I have no intention of selling yet. DYOR, though.

Yes, indeed it does continue to go north, but maybe the best approach is to add pre and post the results, and then to continue adding later. I had to ask in case I had missed something. Thank you
