I suspect the imminent interim results will push this company further into the limelight, as it appears to be under the radar at present! The overdue share price rerate I believe, is just starting now. | jigger_1

22/8/2022 23:18 | I know what you mean Officer Digby. Now, though with production and more production to come and cash flow lifted by Nat gas prices the blue sky here should start to appear. Re drib sellers. I`m a drib buyer. | bomfin
22/8/2022 22:45 | Yes Bomfin I made some calc on KIST vs IOG a wee while ago.... And I'm still wiping the egg from me face! | officerdigby
22/8/2022 22:10 | IOG's Achilles heal seems to be the major shareholders Lombard and Log with Lombard slowly selling off their stake in dribs and drabs suppressing gains. I don't think it will stay down much longer though with a rerate likely on positive newsflow especially re Southwark. | bountyhunter
22/8/2022 22:08 | Lol, That`s why I`m posting here. Of course Kistos are making money hand over fist. Less reserves than IOG though and IOG will bring on more production and they will pay off their debt quickly. imho dyor | bomfin
22/8/2022 22:05 | Lol Bomfin you are going to be as popular with Kistos holders as I was when I mentioned the Kistos bubble! ;) There's no sour grapes of course over there given that AA's chancer's bid for SQZ failed miserably. Can't blame him for trying of course but the timing probably wasn't the best. | bountyhunter
22/8/2022 19:44 | I`m looking at Kistos market cap and IOG market cap. IOG with more reserves and soon to have more production. They have a wodge to pay off and at current gas prices that will happen and happen quite quickly. buy by my calculations they should be worth more than Kistos. | bomfin
22/8/2022 18:57 | maxidi - cup and handle: In short, after a decent rise the price succumbs to both profit taking and investors looking at overhead resistance. A small decline then price powering back above the latest high show that both buyers and seller have put those worries behind them. If sellers stop selling and buyers keep buying the price has to go up to attract the former. I'm not sure why any PI would sell now; as others have said if nothing else it is the perfect hedge against our own utility bills. | hpcg
22/8/2022 17:09 | Even the Marex NBP 1625-1635 D.A 23/08/2022 is at 486p Marex tends to come in slightly lower than zenergi equivalent. This may possibly account for IOG's slightly lower realisations versus zenergi Day Ahead. | xxnjr
22/8/2022 16:25 | Yes that golden cross is getting pretty close now - see right at the top. | bountyhunter

22/8/2022 15:22 | Topped up this morning and so glad I did. I'm fully loaded with these now, onward and upward. What with all this golden cross and cup and handle there must be something in this technical stuff. I have not a clue about it all I'm afraid. Must read up on it! | maxidi
22/8/2022 14:28 | Classic cup and handle on the chart after that latest consolidation. | hpcg
22/8/2022 14:22 | Oil and gas were cheap before covid so with demand returning quickly and lack of investment was a perfect storm. Gas and coal were tight last year and the war made matters worst. | robizm
22/8/2022 13:30 | Back in the blue :) 40p+ to continue the chart uptrend. | bountyhunter
22/8/2022 13:28 | western governments have caused these spikes in gas oil and coal by citing them as dirty fuels in their dash for green energy so the companies on this sector stopped exploring and bringing on more production where as demand has increased after covid of course the politicians will blame the industry not themselves for the mess they have created | dilip40
22/8/2022 13:01 | Still here marvelman. It is rare I hang about this long :-) Pretty much all the time, it is just quick ones, either they work or it is bye bye - no emotional attachment. I don't have the level of insight posters here have, but when you have a tailwind like this, it is hard to not find some form of bullish hat and just wonder where the price might go. Then you look back at previous resource plays in the early days when I was a clueless plonker (VGM, TPL, OMI) and you have to exercise some caution or you still end up with residency in PlonkerVille. Maybe someone will come in after SQZ to take the lot, not sure. Not my area of expertise. Itsriskythat, It would be nice to see someone coming in and buying in size to clear out the sellers. It doesn't strike you that the whole lot of shares need to be sold by bigger holders here, just an allocation (it's the way the price is moving). Maybe there is still some doubt on operational delivery and when that doubt is gone, less will be sold or bigger buyers will come in and mop up any stale bull allocation. Overall, even with the skepticism, I still thought IOG would be higher than this but anything positive is a bonus out there. If anything, if you're not down on something, it's a huge achievement! Right, good luck all. Hopefully don't need it. Let's see how it goes. All imo DYOR | sphere25
22/8/2022 12:05 | sphere25: Responding to you about the blocks of 1 million sold last week and bigger blocks being bought up at Igas last week. Odey Asset Management bought a 6.2% interest in Jadestone last year and have just revealed themselves as the buyer of a 4.2% interest in Igas. Could it be that Odey are also taking an interest in IOG? It would fit with their strategy. An interesting read. | itsriskythat
22/8/2022 12:03 | Good post Sphere. I had wondered if you were still here. Certainly Lombard are the bogymen as they have held a substantial part of the company and have been constantly and relentlessly selling for many months as per their TS1's. Will they stop at a given point or do they intend to sell out completely; that is the question. IOG are a gem of an investment for someone and I am amazed it is still up for grabs but the WT and the prospect of a Labour government has not helped sentiment. My feeling is (FWIW) is it is on borrowed time. | marvelman |
