13/6/2022 09:38 | Could be another cluster f on the way? | dunderheed
09/6/2022 09:07 | LNG plant fire 82% of the LNG from the Freeport plant was headed towards UK and Europe and plant now on fire. UK gas prices jump >30%. | itsriskythat
09/6/2022 07:27 | As an aside here's an RNS about new gas which tells you initial flow rates straight away, no hesitation here... No investment advice intended. | bountyhunter
08/6/2022 12:58 | With the large capital expenditures required I cannot see the windfall tax making much difference to IOG may even be helpful. | wskill
08/6/2022 12:00 | The share price wasn't ahead of events when it hit ATH. We have had the supplementary tax since, but even so we are talking substantial returns on equity for investors at that level as the company will have generated post tax cash to that level in two years. | hpcg
08/6/2022 11:03 | Glad to say I have now built my holding to normal size on this fall we are still too low at this level still a good buy in my opinion. | wskill
08/6/2022 10:46 | I guess we are running at full capacity again, judging by the price action. Investors not able to look through two weeks, astonishingly short term. It was a great opportunity to hoover up shares. | hpcg
08/6/2022 10:43 | and/or or don't want to lose their jobs | bountyhunter
08/6/2022 09:35 | One has to assume IOG think they are worth more than Tony and Mitch do. | fardels bear
08/6/2022 09:27 | i wonder if Serica could be interested in IOG's assets? They do seem to have the firepower (cash) | farrugia
07/6/2022 15:55 | Anley may I ask why? Are they looking to operate assets? In which case why take on a team who seem to struggle with that? IMHO. | dunderheed
07/6/2022 15:50 | We have watch Lombard Odier sell down from 20% to just under 17%. For anyone who wants to build a stake of say 14.9% and leave a few for the seller then here is a wonderful chance BUT BUT who is bold enough to do this in what is now a political market place with a huge overhang...!!! In will come Warren Buffett at some stage with a cash bid and that will be that. | anley
06/6/2022 10:16 | Lombard Odier Asset Management (Europe) Limited have reduced to 16.82% TR1 just out | bountyhunter
06/6/2022 07:47 | From today's SQZ RNS: "Over 85% of Serica's production is gas, a fundamental part of the UK's energy transition plans and Serica's operated North Sea assets provide more than 5% of the UK's gas production. Gas prices have remained strong, with YTD market prices averaging 186p/therm. Prices dipped briefly in early May but have since recovered to average more than 88p/therm for the month and are now back over 100p/therm." | sleveen
02/6/2022 12:15 | IOG only needs a couple of quiet months, letting the gas prices do all the talk | alxo82
02/6/2022 09:48 | Fardel - it is the kind of shareholder structure that puts investors off, though as I say, it is more likely to get resolved by private placements rather than on the market. The 'problem' liquids are paying somewhere north of £1m a week but I would think a lot of serious but conservative investors want to see how the gas settles down - with it being approx 55 per day for the start up period discounting downtime periods. They might also want to see a period of consistent uptime. One should expect as those things occur the share price will gradually respond anyway but that may not happen. It doesn't matter as such, I just want a share of the cash flows. | hpcg
02/6/2022 08:53 | Hopefully the director purchasing 90k of shares sees the whole picture as improving now. I guess they should have no problem in offsetting up to 91.25% of tax given the high level of development in progress to bring new NS gas on-stream. | bountyhunter
01/6/2022 22:41 | I think it's the LOG overhang that's putting me off now. I just see it being a drag for some time to come. | fardels bear
01/6/2022 22:38 | Did you follow the Director's fine example this afternoon? 😉 | bountyhunter
01/6/2022 22:06 | Can't even do eeny meeny any longer | fardels bear
01/6/2022 21:53 | My comment was tongue in cheek of course. Looking at the prices in the header today is a rare event indeed with the only other riser being DELT. | bountyhunter
01/6/2022 21:45 | We're coming up to the worst time for equities and small cap investors are cautious right now. H1 numbers won't be much help, though they will show the serious net backs. Perhaps a Q3 trading statement will help. I could see the 'overhang', or perhaps chunks of it, going for a well above market price as the only way to take a sizeable position, which would be a significant catalyst. | hpcg
01/6/2022 21:30 | Sold my mx5 now my hips are too bad to get in and out of it. Put the proceeds in the isa until the new car arrives in September. Looking for a four month return so I can put more down on the pcp for the new Alfa. I think the 90k purchase might just have clinched it for me. Will it get back to 35p by September, do we think? | fardels bear |
