Bit of good news on the Apple situation, Couple of large IP contracts confirmed and may have to wait a month or so for sale announcement! More confident than ever of a great outcome! After which the announcement of more contract wins!

Why that long? The initial expectation was for much quicker than that, however as mentioned I imagine its difficult to do due diligence on an IP company particularly as developments in Automotive and IOT are moving at warp speed at the moment!
I expect a leak before the end of the month to bump not lower the share price - bidders will also be aware that the uncertainty is damaging their potential takeover target.

At the moment literally any news on a bid would be welcomed, not least because it will, hopefully, light the blue touchpaper for the other allegedly interested parties to join in and get the bid action going. At the moment it's just very dull. Takeovers are supposed to be a little less tedious than this.

For those that castigate the current management and only want a sale bid and want it now from anyone that causes any uplift in share price from recent levels, then no I can't think of any circumstance where they would bother to attend.

Can't see anyone being bothered to go. There will be no answers possible to any questions that need asking. I'm not even sure many of the analysts would bother if their company didn't make them. What's the point if there is no analysis to be done ? The business is up for sale - end of the story until such time that it is no longer for sale.

Should be an interesting AGM this year, last year it was announced on the 12 Aug and held on 6 Sept.

SP seems content to bumble along between the 20 and 50 day MAs to the point it appears to have now disappeared up it's own backside. Presumably this is what happens when algorithms are left to their own devices (no pun intended). Needs some news either way now to stop flatlining.

First - if any - bid must be imminent. If it had already arrived I'm sure they'd have cut short the paddling and candy floss and lashed the donkey to a frenzy to get back to KL.

So here we are - share price not going any higher than 143 - that's 130, (the lowest the directors will take viz their share options apparently!) plus 10% - probably the lowest premium anyone could get away with! Is this just a guess by some fund managers or perhaps the bids already on the table waiting for AH and GM to get back from hols on Monday?

The 7% only includes shorters where % is > 5%. There may in addition be many with a position just under 5%.

No worries I found the tracker - surely 7% isn't huge considering the state of play and the fact that such as M%S are being shorted at 10% in their recent 300-400 range for example?

I see that Lombard Odier Asset Management (Europe) Limited has appeared on the Short Tracker site on 7th August with a short position of 0.52%. That is a name I haven't seen before. Clearly there are very diverse opionions out there on what is going to happen to IMG and some very large bets being placed.

Richard Griffiths seems to think that a bid is on the cards as I see that they took out a significant Long position spread bet at £1.42 a couple of days ago.
