11/9/2006 15:31 | drw1: I think that's it. Blue-rinsed shoppers demonstrating outside M&S branches against the ISD 'music' imposed on them by the managers is not great news. But I can't see it having a material effect on the business. Life does gradually get worse, and in-store music is part of that inevitable decline. | diogenesj
11/9/2006 15:26 | Hi CR Looks to me like the 150k trade was a sell when the bid was 13.5p. | krsgr
11/9/2006 12:47 | I wonder whether that 150K is a director buy? Don't bank on it till you see the RNS but it's a Ken Pratt size buy, he's been buying in 150K lumps. CR | cockneyrebel
11/9/2006 12:39 | dip being bought | matt9991
11/9/2006 12:37 | CR - I think IG do most over a cap of £5m. I wanted these on a sbet as i have long since blown all my cgt on the likes of CFE, and the spread wasnt too bad. I ended up buying shares here. I figured it wasnt a bad thing when you take into account the long term potential. Starting to feel glad I got SOLA sbets now :) | matt9991
11/9/2006 12:30 | perhaps, it's the same as the shares having been bought and sold tho imo. Didn't realise IG dids these on this mkt cap but having looked they do have them listed - makes them even more attractive for a tax free gain then. CR | cockneyrebel
11/9/2006 12:24 | i wonder if this drop is due to spreadbetters closing out long positions. I spoke to IG about a position here and was told that they could not open any more long positions as they already held 2% of the company. | matt9991
11/9/2006 11:14 | I wonder who bought the 150K on the fall this morning then? CR | cockneyrebel
11/9/2006 11:10 | Well the fwd PE is 5.4 because the 2007 eps forecast is 2.4p. The directors buying like mad refers to: Sep 7 - Ken Pratt (FD) buys 35K May 30 - Ken Pratt FD buys 150K May 11 - Ken Pratt FD buys 150K April 21 - Ken Pratt FD buys 200K Jan 30 - Dereck Mapp buys 625K Oct 10, Charles Fairbairn buys 250K Oct 6 - Dereck Mapp buys 2 million Sep 29 - 4 directors buy a total of 250K Sep 27 - 4 directors buy a total of 340K That's over 4m shares bought over the past year and about 7% of the company. By the way I spoke to the FD at ISD earlier. They were advised by their auditors not to put an adjusted eps figure in the interims as they are in transition of moving to IFRS. He did work the adjusted figure for me tho and said it was 0.67p for H1 . I think we'll get the full figure for the full year in the full year accounts. If you just annualised H1 you can see they could be well ahead of the 1.1p forecast for the year. CR | cockneyrebel
11/9/2006 11:00 | sorry CR!! just awakening everyone! Have a nice day | cambium
11/9/2006 10:49 | CR: 'Where do you get 100% growth on a fwd PE of 5.4 and directors buying llike mad?' CLTV a few months ago? | jakleeds
11/9/2006 10:46 | Yeah - I see the drop now but I bought 750 shares in ANGL this AM. Man, my timing sucks !!! Now if Sola were to reach over the 220p level....... | liarspoker
11/9/2006 10:42 | he have friends in high places eh! | cambium
11/9/2006 10:40 | Nah, Liars wanted a dip to load up with some more-here it is. | bigbigdave
11/9/2006 10:37 | CR selling and ploughing into SOLA perhaps | cambium
11/9/2006 10:18 | why the drop off, profit takers ? | scotsman2
10/9/2006 10:48 | A contrarian view from GCI...it never ceases to amaze me how two (assuming both experienced, knowledgable & unbiased) people/companies can view a certain set of circumstances with totally opposite vieWpoints; from GCI Imagesound - AVOID Companies: ISD 06/09/2006 Imagesound, the re-tuned supplier of in store music and messaging to McDonald's and Carphone Warehouse, is making sweet sounds on new business, though the shares remain risky fare. Serial entrepreneur and chairman Derek Mapp, appointed a year ago, unveiled a dramatic reduction in losses from £455,000 to £29,000 for the half to June thanks to restructuring efforts. Turnover was lower at £3.9m (£4.1m), reflecting the strategic decision to shift away from speculative, erratic, systems sales and focus on higher-margin recurring work with blue chip clients. Of total sales, an encouraging £2.4m represented recurring business. And at the EBITDA level, Imagesound made £868,000. A compelling flow of new business inquiries and trials has been maintained and Imagesound announced a new two-year deal to supply a further 500 Carphone Warehouse stores with audio systems and music services. Renewals or upgrades have also been secured with Next, B&Q and Superdug. Overall the group can now boast of servicing more than 45 branded retail and leisure chains, ranging from Kwik Save and Fitness First, to Foot Locker and even Tiger Tiger. Furthermore, May acquisition MusicStyling.com has established the group as the leading provider of bespoke music content to the global luxury hotel, spa and resort industry. With its finances strengthened, new debt facilities in place for possible acquisitions in a consolidating market, a strong pipeline of trials under way and new accounts from blue chip clients coming on board, the shares are worth a speculation at current depressed levels. However, with creditors due within a year standing at £5.6m and both the media sector and the high street notoriously risky areas, we reckon the shares of this still loss-making business are best avoided at present. I personally wasn't expecting an AVOID stance when trolling throught their latest recommendations...bu Comments welcome. Curreently I have no position here, but its on my watchlist. rgs | deanroberthunt
08/9/2006 13:32 | Well someone is definitely buying, the mm's don't take a 70K sell like this morning and not move down without a buy ready to take them. This is the sort of thing SCSW should be tipping, out tomorrow, bet they don't! Bet they say how clever they are because POL has been bid for at a lower level than they tipped it at! CR | cockneyrebel
08/9/2006 11:59 | scotsman - I hope that it does fall before it rises. ;o) | liarspoker
08/9/2006 11:56 | is this likely to fall a bit before it rises ? the results didnt seem to have much impact | scotsman2
08/9/2006 10:47 | lol, I thought I had been filtered for a minute then! | cambium
08/9/2006 10:37 | I've been trying to turn off parental control for years, Diogenes, but they keep finding the ex-directory phone number :-) Meanwhile, I guess the chances of the share price here sprinting ahead in the short term are low now? | spangle93 |
