Might just change tomorrow.

Having been on the radar for a while, dipped the toe last Friday with a purchasette.

Liked the studied positive tone of the AGM statement and the news a few weeks earlier of the Music Styling acquisition.

Bit quiet though ahead of interims tomorrow.Bit reminiscent of SMC last week :-( price now discounting anticipated results?)

Spangle,

I reckon it will gain another penny by wednesday, AIMHOOC.

Hi - what do seasoned market watchers think will happen over the next couple of days before the interim results announcement on Wednesday? I thought it would continue to rise in anticipation, but it seems to be steady at 14p.

scotsman - "sorry, I'm a novice to this! bought my first shares last week and 10% down already! :-(("

Forget the noise and just ask yourself one question. Have I paid a fair price for shares in this company?
A short case study. In 2002 I bought shares in HTG for circa £1.20. How I laughed as the price fell and at one stage I sat on paper losses of around 50%+. My valuation of this company MUST have been grossly misjudged. I didn't sell because at least it paid a dividend. Guess what they cut the dividend as well. No matter how many times I looked at the figures I just couldn't understand it. Obviously I didn't expect instant returns because the company was having a rough year but surely I'd bought shares in the company when they were already cheap. I must have missed something the share price had dropped to 65p ish - the company must be going bust!
Four years on the company is in robust health with the shares at £4.48 and my initial buying price would in retrospect appear to have been very cheap (compounded 28% return over 4 years not including dividend payments).
This post is not intended as a "what a clever fellow I am" post but is meant to illustrate a point and that is - if you are convinced you have paid a fair price for a company's shares then don't be phased by the mistakes of others.
Just one caveat regarding ISD. Trying to value ISD is more problematic than a company like HTG. It is a very young company with no positive earnings history and negative shareholder equity - as such it is highly speculative IMO. However, the main attractions to me are the significant Director purchases, the impressive range of clients and the upbeat trading statements. If ISD do achieve their growth targets then even at today's closing price the company is very cheap.
Good luck with your investing.
Michael.

CR - it's not excitement - it's fear that if you don't buy it'll be through the roof before you're in there. Just done exactly that with NOP, thought after a day when it finally rose steadily and broke through a long term barrier that this was it, bought more stock... and now it's 10p lower.

Normally I warn holders of a stock on a BB that I'm about to buy - that gives them time to sell their stock at a high :-( I carry my wounds.

PS - thanks for the limit buying advice in SOLA - in the end as you'll know, they didn't take off to £3, and I got my shares at £1.39.

74K sold today and not a budge on the price, don't think the dip will be deep or long.

Prowling around here at the moment, planning a mini-purchase before results next week - is this the extent of the dip?

Please send your answers on a postcard to .... :-)

PS What's the betting that share price will move up again tomorrow first thing, and I'll be sprinting along the harbour wall as the boat passes me by!

Scotsman, when you are on a stock thread like this click "News" at the top and you'll get all the news from this stock. If you can't find a firm date scroll through and see when it was last year, it's a good guide to this year usually, but it can vary.

We are all usually down as soon as we buy due to the spread - sadly.

I always try to wait for a dip and buy as soon as it looks like turning, to avoid buying short term highs - though sometimes (too often) excitement gets the better of me and I buy a spike too :-)

They published an RNS with the results date in it two days ago, can't be that hard to find can it?

when are the results due? are these likely to be positive and push the price up ?

Results are due next week Wed 6th Sept
They are likely to be positive - very positive. Read the trading statement
They could push the price up or down - in the medium to longer term they should push the price up a lot - if they produce what is expected.

If ISD look on track for 2.4p forecasts, these would still be cheap at 24p. Make of that what you want but DYOR

Had to be a few profit scalpers at some point after such a rise but think we'll see the buyers back in before the results next week with the fwd PE just under 6.
