Capital markets day announced for early December. Sounds like they have confidence in the story they are telling. Onwards and upwards

If we can prove the tech behind Solid state batteries then think of the use cases - home cleaning, beauty products, gardening equipment, gaming, cars, iot, medical implants, mobile phones etc…

Agreed, can only see this rise from now on in. We hit 265p without significant funding and we are now 6 months further down the line towards production! This has 3quid written all over it. Lots of customer interest across multiple sectors for stereax batteries :)

Agreed. I really like the Comau link too. Getting the tech right is a major challenge but scaling the manufacturing is maybe even tougher so great they are thinking so far ahead with a major partner

It is very much option money to some of these very well financed overseas players to buy Ilika , the company has a strong patent portfolio around its technology which could be enough for someone to have a tilt i guess.Be nice to think they can go it alone and become a creditable alternative technology in the electric world esp in EVs ..the combination of small battery powered telematics and Goliath powering would reduce weight of EVs enormously. The risk reward and relative valuation makes this compelling but in the real world they are battling giants.

IKA mentioned in Bloomberg deep dive article on QuantumScape. Probably alerted US investors to the massive valuation gap. $13 billion v $300m, ie 40x. As stated previously, IKA is risky but if it's tech comes through it will be a unicorn

If it were traders who had been buying them up they'd have dumped this afternoon as they are generally allergic to holding positions over the weekend. The fact that it closed at its high is a strong indicator that the buying will continue apace next week.

I had to top up hastily yesterday (at 130) as I was a bit slow to cotton on to the fact that this is a genuine upturn rather than a little spike. Better late than never, I suppose! I doubt it matters too much - there's a lot of upside here and I doubt if an extra 10 or 20p will make much difference before too long.

I agree that a US takeover is (unfortunately) pretty inevitable inside the next year or so which could spoil our multibag hopes.

Heehee the irony is that you predicted (tongue in cheek no doubt) 140 today
So you are clearly a bitter ex holder as you used to write very bullish posts here and are obsessed with this share, not posting anywhere else!. There are so many companies more worthy of derogatory comments but you only post on IKA thread which is a bit loopy, you have to admit.
Anyway, you are welcome here as each time you turn up - the share price rises.

Hope you are loading up this time Rogk you wouldn’t want to miss the next wave up to a new much higher high in the new yr imo, plenty of newsflow for this co that’s in a sweet place. Eco friendly stocks, esp those with transforming technology are only going higher, getting in now is going to look SO cheap for a sector that could explode next yr and IKA are getting closer to uncovering the holy grail in sse solutions
I have a large holding, Do your own research, if you don’t like riskier investments then invest elsewhere
But don’t get bitter Rog, best not look at the price if you’ve made your decision and certainly don’t show your upset here, it’s just sad.

What tech do Solid Power and SES utilise.

And for that matter, what tech does Goliath utilise.

Solid Power and SES both shortly heading to NASDAQ via SPAC deals. Be very interesting to see if they follow the QS trajectory. Will shine a light on IKA valuation in any event

Even Dyson knew SSB were a money pit. He knows how to make money that's why he pulled out.

Dyson didn't pull out of SSB. He pulled out of battery car project.
He did dump IP on SSB that he previously bought for ~$100m (so he's not so clever on that one).
But still DYSON very much focussed on SSB

Usual steady Eddie stuff from the CEO. Would be good to see some technical comparisons between their Goliath product versus QuantumScape, Solid Power, SES etc. Guess a detailed brokers note is out there somewhere?

ILIKA haven't shown anything like that and I don't think they will. Very interested to see if they could do that. QS have shown the most. But there is are BIG questions in how they did it, ex employees now saying things are not reproducible etc etc.

Here's another one announced today.. US solid-state battery company Factorial Energy has signed a joint development agreement with Hyundai and Kia to integrate its novel battery technology in the companies' electric vehicles.Under the agreement, which includes a strategic investment in Factorial, the companies will incorporate the solid-state battery at the cell, module, system, and levels, followed by full vehicle integration.

All of these companies are keeping their progress very close to their chest. What I would take from the CEO interview is that goliath car batteries operative prototype is 18 months away before scale up. Good news imo
