I hold but also of the opinion we should use & deplete foreign sources first so long as we can and backup with our own for emergency.

Avoiding dependency is #1 from my point of view.

If foreigners want to sell theirs at an attractive price to us, let them.

Im continuing to hold … with Cuadrilla getting consent its only time before more green lights will be given. With Brexit and our reliance on gas imports from Denmark & Russia it makes sense to explore local energy to protect supply and cost.

Thorough TU to digest. Ability to perform more capex now.
Contrary to popular thinking I suspect $ will strengthen as soon as slowdown becomes a topic & oil decline thereabouts even allowing for Iran and Vennezuela.

"assuming an exchange rate of £1:$1.35"

I do hold.

Consultancy, Anderson Thompson, has constructed probabilistic-type curves for the Bowland using US analogue and core data, implying that a mid-case EUR of 6.5bcf and 30-day IP rate of c.15mmscfd (interpretation from published data) is achievable from a 2.5km lateral.

One of the reports notes that Cuadrilla has chosen where to position two horizontal wells which will be hydraulically stimulated with 45 stages per well. This was based on the 2 off 1000m horizontal wells.

There seems to be some good data out there as what the plans are via investment research published to date.

Ellesmere Port Planning Appeal ........"Positivity Plan" Added To NPPF2. IMO Councils at the moment start from a negative point of view, I believe they are now being instructed to be Positive about onshore Oil and Gas extraction. IMO National Importance takes priority over local concerns. I believe on energy security it's both Government and local councils responsibility to keep the nations Gas power stations and central heating systems supplied with Gas and kept operational (IGas Energy Twitter - import dependency will increase to between 60-90% by 2050 without Shale) ------NPPF2 "Oil, gas and coal exploration and extraction -------209. Minerals planning authorities should: a) recognise the benefits of on-shore oil and gas development, including unconventional hydrocarbons, for the security of energy supplies and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy; and put in place policies to facilitate their exploration and extraction;b) when planning for on-shore oil and gas development, clearly distinguish between, and plan positively for, the three phases of development (exploration, appraisal and production), whilst ensuring appropriate monitoring and site restoration is provided for" ..........Considering Local planning officer recommended approval of Ellesmere Port IGas test. The councils only admissible excuse was it was against its renewable energy policy. IMO Adding "plan positively" will greatly help IGas be allowed to "test" an existing Gas well to see it's commercially viable..... Just think if it was?!.........Ref. Dip today in Brent makes little difference as IGas has IMO fully hedged production going into 2019 (NB Feb18 RNS stated 600,000 Barrel's hedged for 2018, that's just under 3/4 of yearly production). Conventional production is providing profit and time for the Unconventional gas acreage to be developed. The big game changer..... courtesy of The Chester Chronicle 2012 .... "Drilling firm IGas Energy says test results indicate more than nine trillion cubic feet of shale gas at its Ince Marshes site near Elton and other North West sites – the equivalent of 1,600 million barrels of oil" DYOR

Fardels Bear - The Video link is for potential investors sitting on the sidelines, additional information you may have would be welcome ..... IMO Proximity of Cuadrilla ongoing drilling to IGas acreage should Lift IGas share price considerably WHEN Cuadrilla fracking of wells approved (by Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) & positive test results are available. Will also act IMO as a precedent for test approval at IGas Ellesmere Port existing well, were the only admissible excuse I could see (watching the video of local planning committee meeting) was, It was against the Councils sustainable energy policy (remember it was approved by the planning department and had an environmental study already done)

Interesting video (link below) from Cuadrilla suggesting a deeper layer of shale rock (up to 2km!) in UK verses USA. Advanced extraction methods developed over the last 10-20 Years using fewer Pads with multiple wells. N.B. This may or may not be applicable to IGas shale gas acreage so as always do your own research (and share!)http://www.mobile.twitter.com/CuadrillaUK/status/1014052152338153472/video/1

Well, if few pi's, holders will likely be tight and well researched.
I've had a few like this and moves tend to be large and in fits and starts, both up and down.
Good luck with any decision made.

I'm again forced to the conclusion that there's hardly any pi's left here since the consolidation. And I have to admit that I'm a tad reluctant to add here after my earlier experience.

Brent near $78 .... My Rough Estimate of IGas Income - Average production of 2,323 B/D. Operating expenditure of $32.5 BOE. $78-$32.5 =$45.5 x2323 =105K B/D $38M PAGross .... IGas Market Cap £116M/$165M ..... (N.B. Hedged production IMO will average up gradually Plus Unconventional Gas acreage could be regarded as all profit with up to $240M Free Carry courtesy of JV partners) All above IMO & Basic figures, if you have better please share DYOR

29 fields and over 100 producing sites IGas is Profitable on conventional Oil resources. Low debt and IMO guaranteed hedged income going into 2019. Significant shale carried work programme of up to $240m. Reminder of RNS 17/05/18 "Government will publish revised planning practice guidance on shale development in the summer alongside the launch of a consultation that will consider allowing exploration wells to be drilled under permitted development (i.e. without the requirement of a planning application)"

I found those socrates links devoid of useful information. I couldn't care less about a new chinese oil product index price. Like a lot of AIM share price movements, the spiral up to 128p and fall to 92p today, have seemed irrational. We await news of two spuds this summer, igas doesn't do many rns's except statutory "Herbert now owns <>5%" ones though. I think it should be priced about 105 to 110. Anyway, with 100 sites, many already producers, it shouldn't experience such volatility as you get with "binary bet" one trick all or nothing stocks. It is now well below its price when the political climate changed towards more favourable for fracking. To me it does seem undervalued right now.
