05/10/2017 16:51 | FB I think, from an article in the dim past, that they do oversee/operate the oil producing Lybster site, just south of Wick (NE Scotland) - but I might be wrong.....though wouldn't expect this to involve the much maligned 'F' word anyway.... DL | davidlloyd
05/10/2017 16:41 | The Scottish decision has no relevance to England and since the Scottish government ignored its own investigating committee's report and recommendation, it even more emphasises that fracking is quite safe. The "overwhelming public opposition" does not reflect the public, just those who oppose anything they do not understand. The small rises in the share price since will probably have occurred because investors are realising that INEOS will now direct all its money to its English sites managed by IGAS. Definitely a win for IGAS and the English economy as the unions also realise. I look forward to the day when English shale gas is sent to the INEOS plant at Grangemouth! | nocton

03/10/2017 14:09 | Tuesday 10 October 2017IGas application for testing Ellesmere Port-1 well by Cheshire West and Chester Council. My Thoughts, Well already exists so no further drilling. No fracking to be done. Traffic and well depth not a problem. IMO planning should be approved on 10th. IMO Ellesmere Port is an incremental move to prove up the gas resources. Together with the other IGas Granted planning approvals and subsequent drilling (plus data presumably shared from other local companies exploration wells) IGas will be able to quantify and monetise potential Gas resources.Info sources.....Courtesy of drill or drop "The Environment Agency confirmed that IGas had complied with its environment permit on well depth. And the Health and Safety Executive told DrillOrDrop the depth of the well was consistent with the information from the operator before the well was drilled and in weekly reports during drilling"IGas - In 2014 we drilled a single vertical well to a depth of 1,945m below ground level, with the objective of appraising the geological sequence of the Ellesmere Port prospect, including the coal beds, consistent with the minimum depth of 900m stated within the planning statement and officers' report.Council Notes re Highways "considered that the proposal will not result in a severe detrimental impact to highway operation and therefore no objections are raised" | gold map
03/10/2017 12:10 | Ironhorse I sincerely hope and expect that your petition fails to garner sufficient support and even if it does, then our elected representatives will consign it to the dustbin of history. Two wrongs do not make a right. | toffeeman

28/9/2017 13:49 | Reminder of IGas Existing Producing Assets - IGas "Our East Midlands net acreage consists of 16 oil fields and 80 sites".....produced "more than 47 million barrels of oil to date""southern England, the Weald Basin is the source of approximately 50% of our current production" ......"11 fields within which there are 10 producing wells"...."ranging from Stockbridge, near Winchester, in the west to Palmers Wood near Gatwick in the east and now includes the Singleton field. The area has produced more than 21 million barrels of oil to date"IMO the above is bread and butter and worth more than the current share price ..... The Shale Gas acreage is the Jam.... N.B. IGas's licenses cover more than one million acres of the UK | gold map
