Igas have created a website. Www.springsroad.com I think.

I'm getting a bit fed up with the lack of information coming out. I can only hope the company are keeping their heads down until they can get approval to drill.

EGD: did comment:

A key well for the Company will be the first unconventional resource exploration well in the Gainsborough Trough - Springs Road-1. This carried well will provide important information towards de-risking and evaluating the unconventional resource potential of our acreage. Subject to planning and permitting, this well would be drilled in the summer of 2016.

IGAS has announced on one of its websites (but not as an RNS) that the proposed unconventional drill into Gainsboro Trough PEDL 139/140 at Springs Road N Notts has passed preliminary planning procedures and will now go to public consultation. EDR has 14.5% of PEDL 139/140. It is possible that EDR will comment on this in the full year RNS due tomorrow.

BBC N.W pushing the dangers of fracking in a new study from the states.
Birth problems.
Here's a critique:
hxxp://www.science20.com/tip_of_the_spear/blog/never_mind_authors_assertion_fracking_actually_linked_to_improved_birth_outcomes-157494

This was a terrible "study" and the authors and the JH-B School of PH should all be embarrassed. So too of course should the all-too-willing-to-swallow-sensationalist-sound bites, mainstream media who simply copied and pasted the school's press release as though it made any sense without bothering to even actually read the methods and conclusions. The authors' tactics here are redolent of the official New York State-Dept. of Health's 184-page report issued last December supporting Gov. Cuomo's pre-determined ban on fracking in New York, which reeked of similar hypothetical and exaggerated risks to kowtow to his "base."

Given the actual data, a more rational synopsis would be that living near a fracking site might confer gestational benefits on moms-to-be. No, I don't believe that, but nor is there anything in this poor excuse for science that should be of concern to pregnant women, either.
The whole "anti-fracking" movement is another Big Green-ideology, anti-business, anti-fossil fuel crusade trumped up to appear to be a public-health issue. It's just too bad that cowardly and ignorant politicians have given aid and comfort to these fringe zealots, since the shale-gas revolution has conferred so many economic, geopolitical, and yes! even environmental benefits upon us.

The importance of the above is clear to all, re I-gas Weald holdings.
In particular our Baxters copse well which is next door to the Gatwick Horse Hill site.
UKOG it seems have 50% of Baxter Copse & above it states that the economics of a development appraisal well is under consideration.

Time to drill deep at Baxter Copse, & join the Weald excitement group of tiddlers.

The Company believes that the Report illuminates the wider Weald Basin's significant potential and demonstrates how the Company's interests fit within the overall geological picture. The calculated OIP volumes provide us with the necessary encouragement to proceed with our plans to prove the concept that oil may flow and possibly be recovered in commercial quantities from these tight oil plays. The planned activities in Horse Hill and Holmwood will therefore be key steps.

Although we are only in the early stages of this proof of concept process, the findings of our recently published Weald tight oil conceptual development studies, demonstrate that, in the success case, oil could be produced with sensitivity to the Weald locality. This is a fundamental aspect of the company's business philosophy."

Allen D Howard, Nutech's Chief Commercial Officer, commented:

"This was a very rigorous study analysing the oil in place measured in 86 wells calibrated by our own in-house core and cuttings analyses, geochemical and legacy data. This, coupled with the experience and knowledge Nutech brings from the majority of proven producing tight oil and gas plays in the USA, gives us confidence in the specific potential of the Weald's tight oil plays and the Kimmeridge limestone play in particular."

IGAS looks interesting again.

Oil production to be 2750 boepd 2015/2016.

Net operating costs cut to below $40 bbl.

Brent crude price above $50 bbl and should increase in 2016/2017.

Cash on balance sheet of £46.4m at 31/5/2015 (including from Ineous farmout).

Partners carrying them on work programme of $285m.

Planning system further streamlined to help speed up process.

Should be back above £1.

Ineos buys North Sea fields

Twelve North Sea gas fields have been sold by the Russian oligarch who bought them earlier this year but was forced by the UK Government to sell them.

Ineos, the chemicals giant that controls Grangemouth refinery and petro-chemicals plant, has taken them on.

This is its first move into owning oil and gas assets.
