Return-free risk

I had a look at this placing and decided not to go for it. I have become suspicious about a pattern of unexplained share price rises ahead of placings. The placing can then be presented as at a "discount" to the closing price. Only for the share price to fall back to its original level after the placing. Not every time, but it seems to happen a lot. Look at the share price charts.

Probably! But then again I am happy to hold a long time, and 270p is way above my entry price.

I was thinking of a top up, so this may work in my favour!

Ideagen Plc this morning issued a HY trading update and an update on acquisitions made since 31st October. The company has enjoyed a robust first 6 months of FY22, characterised by strong growth in recurring revenues, H1 total revenues should be up 33%, recurring revenues are up to 88% of the total. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to come in 32% up on a year earlier, with the balance sheet healthy, net cash of £4.4m.

The company is also actively expanding via acquisition. Since the end of the first half Ideagen has concluded the acquisitions of Audit Analytics and CompliSpace and today is pleased to announce the acquisition of CompliancePath, a leader in software validation and assurance....from WealthOracleAM

IDEA building a strong company with more products and services. Demand is high and Q4 will be a great result. Target 350p plus some say 420p plus. Sales in high demand so QTR4 will be outstanding.

So they get just 19% vote for the LTIP and they just dismiss it out of hand. Lol. I have a chunky position here but with that mindset am inclined to sell it all and move on...

City analysts approved of the purchases as Shore Capital reiterated its “buy” on the stock. Martin O’Sullivan, the analyst, applauded the rationale behind the acquisitions and said Ideagen should be considered as a “core holding in the UK software and IT services sector”.

Its shares closed up 3.2 per cent at 277p.

IDEA new adviser will expand potential and even a listing in Other countries as their main growth is global. Looking great for future sales with additional products and services being launched. Target 450p plus as news flow.
