Does intrinsic value take account of potential growth?

Have you seen Simple Wall St comments on Yahoo Finance. Do you believe them..??
The stock (IDEAGEN) is currently trading at UK£2.56 on the share market, which means it is overvalued by 38% compared to my intrinsic value of £1.86. This means that the buying opportunity has probably disappeared for now. Furthermore, Ideagen’s share price also seems relatively stable compared to the rest of the market, as indicated by its low beta. If you believe the share price should eventually reach its true value, a low beta could suggest it is unlikely to rapidly do so anytime soon, and once it’s there, it may be hard to fall back down into an attractive buying range.

Looks like market playing with IDEA AND SOME SAY FAIR PRICE IS £1.85. Hmmm at that price i will topup.

They've done it the other way too - some of those closing highs in precious weeks were fake too. Thankfully I capture and work off closing bid offer prices so it doesn't affect what I do but it's notable both ways on this share

I don't take too much notice of UTs but this share's version takes the biscuit. Most of the closing prices are complete nonsense and they invariably correct the next open

Hi stockready,

Quality business with an excellent Mgt Team, growing organically and by acquisition, remarkably good record of hitting their targets. There is plenty of runway for future growth and I expect that they will continue to deliver.

Covid-19 has proven what a resilient business this is. Heading into what is likely to be a difficult economic climate having products that are considered non-discretionary presents an attractive risk/reward.

As always DYOR, and tell us your thoughts?

What we need is a nice cup with handle to form and then a definitive break out to the upside as there is some resistance of these levels.

This Monday we are joined on the show by a top performing CEO of a company that Mello conference regulars will know exceptionally well….There is absolutely no doubt that over the past 15 years David Hornsby of Ideagen has been one of the most successful leaders and entrepreneurs that the AIM growth company market and before that on Plus Markets has seen… Indeed the growth has been amazing as it has gone from being a sub million pound tiddler on Plus to the nearly £750 million market cap today that Ideagen is today.

Any investors that could see the investment case and had confidence in the company David was trying to build when he presented at Mello Central in 2011 and Mello Beckenham in early 2012 would now be at least 25 times the richer but he is sadly saying goodbye and moving into retirement. However we are sure there is still another chapter still to write and David will share the next inevitable entrepreneurial journey with Mello viewers and also tell us how he sets about delivering amazing returns for investors…

It appears that the self-appointed 'Investor's Champion' has decide that it gains more from being controversial than analytical. So, whilst they don't understand what the Company does - IDEA's customers clearly do - and are prepared to pay for their services even in the current climate.

This Covid-19 period has been very enlightening as it has shown just how 'sticky' IDEA's products are. It has thus strengthened my confidence in the investment case for IDEA and confirmed my decision not to subscribe to the Investor's Chump.

Yes from 2p in 2009 to about 283p today...almost Trumpian sour grapes for IC that they missed an almost a 142x return in plain sight !! Yes, well over a 100 bagger.....

I also recall Shares recommending a sell around the 90p region a few years ago....

Most of these so called "professionals " have no clue !
