begorrah,

Yes annoying, but this is not an average AIM style survival fundraise or smalltime loan to keep the office lights on. If I was going to sign off $200mln, or thereabouts, I'd take my time and make sure everything was in place. So I can understand there may have been a bit of jockeying around after 30th round was announced between parties competing to fund the development and also give and take on all sides.

It will come, something will materialise, its just a matter of time.

Have contacted the company to request clarification of the roadshow rumour whose source I have acknowledged as unreliable . Don't expect much but it costs nowt to ask

Yeah I'd better sell some that usually guarantees it rises ten minutes later.

Yes, it's a real ballache - I thought these two characters were good at striking deals - no evidence so far at i3e. Taking far too long!!! I would be amazed if there isn't a placing now to be fair.

That was obviously going to happen after caters post.I'd imagine the sellers have decided It must be business as normal now as no funding deal seems to be materialising despite GH & NC's usual 'advanced stages......' Schtick. It has been over 4 months now!

It may well be the case we have a bit longer to wait for big development deal. So even if they raise funds around this level for working-capital, it'll be an opportunity for those who can wait more than a few days/weeks.

I'd agree price is holding up too well bearing in mind amount of sells for there not to be a buyer in background, looks like quite a few cln sells to me, which is good in long run

Looks like there's a buyer in the background - the bid is holding up well despite a large number of sells following the placing rumour.

I'm not saying it won't drop further - I'm just saying that there seems to be a buyer in the background.

Begorrah. I agree. GH did say they would be doing PR once the ducks are lined up. They have the 30th round block secure and I'm sure they can say they have more than one funding option to aggressively extract these reserves as that is already known. Be great if they could get this up to £2 prior to funding as we would not see huge swings in price on funding news. A steady build up is best imo.

No news first thing but that works for me. The market cap should be a fair bit higher imo and I'd like to see some growth before funding is announced.

Looks like they'll be news of some kind this week then. If i3e manage to attract some new institutional support the share price will continue to climb.

hi showme

I'd be absolutely horrified and totally surprised if it were 1 in my list of 2.

I guess I could have been clearer: I 'suspect' is about a placing rather than whether it's 1 or 2.

So, IF there is a placing, I'm 100% certain it will be as part of a JV funding package. Then BOOM!

caters, there is no chance of one. Two would be good if it was the right reasons ( good price, institutional hold and give some strength to the balance sheet pre income)

Guess they may need a bit of working capital in the interim period before first oil.

Any funding would, i imagine, be ring fenced for drilling etc and not to be used by the company to cover overheads

My guess is that Scotty is right and a placing is coming up. Why else do a roadshow?

A placing to fund operations because no one else with partner with I3E = bad

A placing in parallel with the JV funding = good (actually, great)

I suspect the latter.

@begorrah

re post #2176

21 days, I believe... so watch for an RNS on Wednesday this week ;)

edit: The other way of doing it is to have the placing with say, 10,000,000 new shares being covered by existing authority and the rest of the placing subject to approval at an EGM in 21 days time with one item on the agenda. That way no 21 days' notice before the placing is needed....just approval after the event.
