RR, it is an easy decision for Arrow as it is not material to their Columbian business.

A$$H@LE Olympics

This year winners are:

Gold Medal – Fanny for his long and consistent record of misinformation and recent innovative use of AI to peddle even more sh@t (and generally just being a useless prat)

Silver Medal – RTW for bringing the art of disingenuous posting to a whole new level along with recent poor calls on WTI and the Dividend.

Bronze Medal – With a late run and slipping into 3rd position is AberdeenAndy with possibly the silliest sounding post this year and what’s sure one day to be an all-time classic: “I’m worried sick about AECO gas price ........”

I3E are losing 3 million dollars per month at the current gas rates, clearly not sustainable to continue paying a dividend, the loan facility with the Canadian bank won’t stretch to giving away free cash as it’s costed against I3E assets which have lost 50% in values since the gas price decline .

Tag57 - yes I know and thats why companies like Arrow exploration have shut their gas in up in Canada until AECO recovers. May be sensible to do the same thing here if it makes us more profitable for the next few months. Pointless throwing good money (from oil) after bad!

RR, if I3E are losing money in gas, so will a lot of other companies, I would have thought.
“The cure for low gas prices is low gas prices”

With AECO on its bum again at 65c, if we split our gas and oil production does anybody know how much we are losing per day from the gas side of the business? I guess it's quite complex to work out but I'm sure somebody could have a stab at it. Things that would need to be factored in would be:-Gas production in boepdAECO @ 65cFactor in our hedging positionOPEX for the gas side of thingsId really like to know this number so that we could then take a view whether the loss is worth funding from the oil side of the business or whether it would be better to shut the gas in until AECO hopefully recovers after the election in the states.TIA

Yes seriously.

A dividend cut is likely and could see us down to 7p. Wake up and smell the coffee.

It’s the right decision though. We must manage our finances prudently during this terrible AECO time.

I don’t know who to believe.

I’m worried sick about AECO gas price and how this will reduce our profits.

I just hope Majid will say ‘sod it’ and pay us out of the loan facility. This however doesn’t sit comfortably with me.

It will be a real test as to whether Majid thinks long term or wants an easy short term ride with shareholders. How tough is he?

Thugmir - there is no change in dividend policy, just because you have a couple of cretins here casting doubt on the dividend, does not constitute a change in i3e's policy - so what are you talking about ??

The policy is as per their 15th May Q1 update where they state:

"Subject to Board approval, the Company expects to pay the Q2 2024 dividend of 0.2565 pence per share in early Q3 2024, which translates to a forward yield of 9.4% based on the closing price of i3's ordinary shares on 10 May 2024."

As of today - there is no change to this. I'm pretty confident that RTW source is imagimary / made up.

A company is duty bound to inform the market via a RNS with regards to any change in dividend policy. Not give a single shareholder the heads up because they send an email. I3E hasn't exactly bathed itself in glory previously.

Fanny,

The Q4 2023 dividend was declared on the 9th January 2024 (9 days after end of quarter) and the Q1 2024 dividend was declared on the 4th April 2024 (4 days after end of quarter). Based on this the dividend declaration is not late - why do you and RTW persist in spreading false information you cretins!

RTW - "With respect" - you have no respect for fellow investors / posters and are evidently quite happy to spread misinformation from your imaginary sources ! I did not expect anything else !

Dividend announcement is late, that’s normally a sign of impending doom! Any cut will signify a drop to the 8s, the banger is firmly erect knowing how much caboodle these cretins are losing every single day!
