Large sells for the last few hours - no price drop and then we get a tick up.

Someone's busy buying.

24th September is the end of 90 days which is only two and a half weeks away.

Not surprised to see the share price rising, and this could be the start of a major re-rate.

It will be interesting to hear back from those attending the presentation this morning.

All those who sold or got stopped out yesterday must be regretting their decisions.

We may well get some writeups and financial PR after todays presentation.

The RNS on 30th August did say "the Joint Venture project team continuing its planning for the 2019 Liberator Development and appraisal of Liberator West" which means they are still working together which I think would be unlikely if there had been any issues.

Personally I think it's a formality, and it's just a question of when it's announced.

But yes, it had better be good!

Cashandcard, Well said.I was hoping that the deal would be better that the previously flagged parameters earlier in the year - for two reasons:1. We have the licence we wanted awarded to us in May which gives much more upside.2. We have a much stronger macro environment with Brent close to 4 years highs and rising.Instead of giving away say 30%, might it be 25%?

I posted this after the last RNS:

-------------------------------------------------->>

coscos,

Well Said. Here are the relevant passages from the July update:

"- Significant progress has been made in preparing a legally binding Farmout Agreement ("FOA"), Joint Operating Agreement ("JOA") and associated binding legal documentation which are expected to be signed before the end of the exclusivity period which runs to 24 September 2018.

- A Joint Venture project team has been formed between i3 and the potential farminee with expectation that the enlarged Phase I Liberator Field Development Plan ("FDP") will be submitted to the Oil & Gas Authority ("OGA") for consultation shortly after the parties enter into the FOA.

- i3 continues to target first oil from the Liberator Oil Field during 2019.

- Neill Carson, i3's CEO, commented:
"We continue to make excellent progress with our proposed joint venture partner and remain optimistic that the legal documentation will be signed before the end of the exclusivity period with submission of the enlarged Liberator Phase I FDP to follow shortly thereafter.

Update on Joint Venture Negotiations

- As announced on 27 June 2018, the Company has granted a period of exclusivity to a potential farminee in order to conclude contractual negotiations which, upon success, would result in i3 being fully funded for both the Liberator field development and the appraisal of Liberator West.

- i3 and the potential farminee continue to work closely to progress the FOA, JOA and other legal documentation required to formalize the joint venture arrangements. The formation of the Joint Venture project team has enabled both parties to work together to prepare the updated Liberator Phase I FDP for presentation to the OGA once the FOA has been signed"

They will sign Farmout agreement before submitting FDP, which they state will be submitted in Q4. Unless there is a market crisis or another oil markets downturn next month, going by their words, this is pretty much in the final straits now. An easy hold from here.

---------------------------------------------->>

Very close to an announcement re funding - some getting weak just ahead of news imo. Worst time for it.

Duckdown, I agree. Bit of nervousness with this funding taking longer than most expected/hoped.

TGG. I've spoken to the BoD about PR and until the funding is in place, they don't see the point in PR until they have the full story. I can understand that.

Yes, the share price should really be north of 150p by now. It's a combination of waiting for news and profit-taking that has kept it at these levels but positive funding news could see the share price double from here.

Not much doubt about the quality & potential of the asset here, the PR surrounding it so far this year has been very poor

Perhaps the 50+ % share of the company equity is being questioned ie the power to decide when to sell and who to . A change to less than 50% would still give the BoD substantial skin in the game but there are many circumstances when funders might want to sell earlier [ or later ] than the directors . Which is better for PI's ?
