Losses cut.

Disappointed at losing almost 30% on this one, but feeling better already. A huge weight has been lifted from me, and my protfolio, portfolio even, looks oh so much better.

See a price of 3p coming up as thats a fair discount to NAV. Same situation happened to Artisan, though thats now recovering.

hi thamestrader, I bought one of the properties in Faversham. Big problems there. Of course, what's bad for the hapless house buyer may be good for the shareholder, I'm both and feel screwed both ways. I'm considering cutting losses but.........
My opinion of this company is at rock bottom, if you need to lose money, then this seems as good as anything.

This could well be one of the stocks I sell to bring me back below the CGT threshold. Let's face it, it's no use for anything else.

A bit of a write up in this week's Shares mag.

Planning a one for two rights issue - likely to be at a small premium over the market price - to fund Swaylands development in Kent.

Also switching auditors, and accounting policy which will result in a technical loss of £1m in the next results.

Bottom line: BUY

finbarr,

I gleaned it from a post by ali_b on another thread.
I assumed he was right. I did not intend to give wrong info.
I am sorry if it's wrong. On further investigations prompted
by your question. I could only see previous purchases by
O'Reilly which is what ali_b must have been referring to.

The following was in a news item on 10/10/03 - totalling 920,000 shares
The Company has today been informed that Mr Peter O'Reilly purchased 700,000 and
220,000 shares in the Company on 3 October 2003 and 7 October 2003 respectively.
Mr O'Reilly now holds 3,220,000 ordinary shares in the Company, representing
3.47% of the issued ordinary share capital.

I do not think that all the directors are purchasing - although 0'Reilly has purchased 1M
shares recently.

Js Man

when did directors buy shed loads as you say in your posting of 17/10/03?

finbarr

Is this company turning the corner? Directors who were selling a while back are
now buying shed loads.
And now, Peter O'Reilly has just raised his stake to 3.58% after acquiring another 100,000 today.
The daily mail said on (16/10) that NAV was 18p, so at 10.75p this seems to represent good purchase value.
The company also recently announced they are raising £3m at 10p through Institutional investments. So institutions are also happy to buy at a very small discount. Something is definitely brewing... Last time it moved, it moved up very sharply. I bought a few just in case. I'll keep a close watch with a view to buying more.

I seem to have been that buyer by accident. I like the idea of a small acquisitive builder. I like the fact that Nigel Wray is a shareholder. I believe the figures on house prices. For once I am pleased that I bought a directors shares.

Sounds as if there was a buyer that he obliged---I've known it before and is bullish for the share price not bearish---I don't hold yet.
