16/5/2017 08:05 | WH Ireland target update.Hurricane Energy (HUR) BUY TP UpradeMarket Cap £652m Price 54.2p Target 127p (U/R) We placed our TP under review on 27 March following the success of the Halifax exploration well. The CPR published on 8 May provided a best estimate oil in place figure for Lancaster of 2,326 mmb (vs. our estimate of 2,197 mmb) while increasing the assumed recovery rate to 22.5% from 20%. We have undertaken a comprehensive review of these developments and updated our valuation for Lancaster, Lincoln and Halifax resulting in a TP of 127p (from 92.9p prior to placing it under review). | kooba

16/5/2017 07:35 | Thanks for that hindsight view, blueball. I don't remember you telling us on Thursday to sell at the day's high? | puzzler2
16/5/2017 07:35 | To be honest I can't see what all the fuss is about. Hasn't anybody heard previous podcasts with AS? I think he always comes over as slightly awkward (i.e. uncomfortable with podcast interviews) but don't think he told us anything significant that we don't already know. I doubt whether the drop in share price has anything to do with the podcast. It is much more likely to be related to the warrants issue. I'm totally chilled about this one and expect the share price to recover as and when we receive confirmation that the warrants have been exercised. | impvesta

16/5/2017 06:10 | I listened to the podcast last night and again this morning. Initially, I thought it was poor with the two phrases galling me being "big boys territory" and "400 blah". Also, I don't agree with publicly announcing that the company will be up for sale, unless they already have competing suitors with buying intentions (which I doubt they do at this stage) - it smacks of desperation - not a great poker playing strategy. That said, AS talked rationaly about the methodology of funding the EPS and how they are close to FID - and as already said, there was no new news. I think that the realisation of a forthcoming equity raise and Friday's warrants issue spooked the market. It's important to recognise the recent CPR acknowledgement of 500m boe for Lancaster and probably similar to come for Halifax, so it's more probable than not that there will be interest here from funders (imo). I'm in at an average of 21.3p, so not yet concerned (but irritated) by the last two days' falls. | puzzler2
