12/5/2017 13:38 | probably because of some share dilution (with the exercise price under each of the Warrants at 95% of the volume weighted average price of the Ordinary Shares, calculated over the trading day prior to exercise) and also no farmout deal (yet); if a major such as BP was involved at reasonable terms the risks would be seen to be lower than going it alone imho; don't get me wrong though I'm very happy to continue to hold here and the rewards could be higher if HUR does end up going it alone from today's RNSs a farmout at some point is still a possibility however..."The Company is considering a range of financing options for the EPS phase of the Lancaster development and currently intends to finance the EPS via a combination of some or all of the following options: equity, deferred vendor finance, debt and debt-related securities and farmout." | bountyhunter
12/5/2017 13:27 | Here is a question for the brighter people here. Why did we go down on the RNS this morning. A handy placing on a 5% discount seems like a reason to go up not down? | davidblack
12/5/2017 13:04 | And a 20% spread on the share price! I don't think so, thanks, Bam Bam | terry hardacre

12/5/2017 12:29 | I think the latest RNS just adds to the conviction that both Stobie and Trice have shown in the recent interviews and presentations. They really are forcing the EPS through and not allowing anyone else to stall them. All very exciting. | sheep_herder
12/5/2017 12:22 | Impressed by Hurricane's financial competence. With Stifel only appointed in February they will be keen to do a good job and probably have a number of institutions already lined up to buy the warrants/shares. Would not be surprised to see an RNS on Monday confirming the placing. | stevenlondon3
12/5/2017 11:56 | gibso I added a few at 61p this morning I still have some cash avail in case they do another oo, each to their own on what they decide, we have had quite a strong book recently, brokers will have anticipated what position to take could be all in the price by now, I follow the trend am longterm holder and believe in management good luck all | laserdisc

12/5/2017 11:41 | So Stifel has been issued with the 25M warrants. These warrants haven't been exercised yet and the exercise price is 95% VWA price on the previous days trading price. Looks like our seller/shorter's are working hard to get share price down prior to excise to me. BH | bloodhound
12/5/2017 11:15 | "FSA Do you hold HUR shares" No but he's sold some of ours with his short position (spit!). BH | bloodhound
12/5/2017 11:14 | Sure they can get a waiver on the 29% rule if all parties agree. | fireplace22

12/5/2017 10:44 | Hiddendepths. Also lots and lots of drilling on AMER which I like. I really like JW who I did bump into at an AGM. | adam
12/5/2017 10:16 | Hurricane Energy Results today which are even more immaterial than ever and a clever warrant issue that bolsters working capital at a time when, with plans for the EPS going full steam ahead, big ticket, long lead, items can be ordered. No figures have been changed since the recent Capital Markets Day and the FID, EPS and first oil for 2019 are still on track. This warrant issue is pretty smart, with the company in the throes of the more substantial development finance package it gives them a modest amount of money with little or no hassle. The CFO has provided the company with the flexibility it needs and an innovative solution such as this means that all boxes can be ticked, all options for financing remain open and value has been preserved. That value is still immense and HUR remains as good an exploration company as you will find in the UKCS and certainly in the oil and gas sector. | garymegson
12/5/2017 10:09 | Can't argue with that, adam, and thanks for being honest about the sell. I wish more people would post up what they've done. I have AMER (and SDX) too and am thinking of adding to both positions but I have far, far more in HUR. FWIW I think that a farm-out under really good terms is quite a lot more likely now that a shortage of immediate money is not going to delay the EPS. | hiddendepths
12/5/2017 10:02 | I've topped up a few more today. Been a great share to hold and the chart continues its trend. | value king
12/5/2017 10:01 | Actually this may be a very cunning way to sort out the eps placing. The broker assuming he is going his job well may well get interest in say 100m shares from IIs. If that happens I think the company will just up the 25m warrants deal to match and bank the day £60m paying a 5% discount this time rather than the 14% we had last. | davidblack
12/5/2017 10:00 | MMs tree shake trying to scare investors to part with their shares to fill their big clients orders. | gary38
12/5/2017 09:50 | I have sold 10% as I think the placing (effectively what the short warrants are) implies a farm-in or buyout marginally less likely. Still have a large holding. Also wanted to buy more AMER. | adam
12/5/2017 09:46 | I think the broker has a couple buyers who want stick but want their money going to the company's bank account rather than CAs pocket. 25m is only four days trading so it's a bit small for this to be anything other than finding a way to get a couple of friendly institutions on board and tucking away a little bit of cash. Plus it keeps the possible partners on their toes knowing Hurricane can be creative. | davidblack
12/5/2017 09:46 | MMs tree shake . | gary38
12/5/2017 09:44 | If todays RNS is good news, why are there so many sellers and few buyers. | rainbow23 |
