09/5/2017 12:01 | Sounds like a great strategy Terry. | davidblack
09/5/2017 11:17 | EK and oil snake bully bobobob5 - remember ??? - very well connected, able and with means and will - sellers were establishing a modest downtrend and buying back as they know if not any one else CA is a willing seller providing liquidity so they can not be stuck. Well done. But I doubt they do dare to go for a major short. A nice blip for a few horse bets and some crosswords. Plus EK used to post so he might say something. | odvod
09/5/2017 10:58 | Just a thought on the idea that EK has been shorting HUR. If that was the case it's quite likely he has closed given he would have made a 12% profit ahead of this morning. Given the volume today it could well be the case that EK and his inner circle of followers were buying back having successfully achieved a good call. The question then is where did all that selling today come from? My guess is the third and fourth tiers of EK's shorting followers who willl have delivered the stock to close those earlier EK sales. We could see some real fun once the natural daily buying in HUR resumes. Then a nice little squeeze? Oh and I am sure CA will happily allow the poor souls to close their positions in the low 70s by giving them some "Cheap" stock? Just musing of course? | davidblack
09/5/2017 10:24 | Seriously look at AMER. overlooked. I hold too. It is cashed up, profitable with a rising production profile and lots of drilling activity. Wardle is the best in the game IMHO. | adam
09/5/2017 10:17 | Peter on the possible shorts it's worth noting that a 0.49% non reportable short is nearly 6m shares. Anyway we don't need any shorters, we have CA to take out the momentum! | davidblack
09/5/2017 10:17 | Come on guys let's get out and PUSH | adam
09/5/2017 10:12 | Thanks Gary, couldn't recall exactly. | mrx001
09/5/2017 10:11 | shorttracker shows no HUR shorts, meaning that if there are any shorts they must be small and constitute less than 0.5% of issued capital. | petersinthemarket
09/5/2017 10:08 | MrX last placing was at a discount the one prior to that was at a premium. | garymegson
09/5/2017 10:05 | Malcy keeps saying that if there's a placing it'll be small. Which means somebody farms in and/or some debt. I think it will be more equity because (as I argued earlier) the majors would be funding something that they'd be buying later for more money. So if they aren't ready now to buy it out (perhaps as originally envisaged they want to see how the EPS performs), then HUR are left with what I think Malcy called industry partners (like Vitol) or a service compan, etc?? Not my preferred option | adam
09/5/2017 10:02 | HD not sure if the new negative names count as shorters? More like the flies that turn up where they think the shorters will go? Doubt EK would bother with Hurricane who have a habit of delivering random good news which is not what a genuine shorter wants. | davidblack
09/5/2017 10:01 | Hd, yes, very strange! Detritus is what they call it/them. | rayrac
09/5/2017 09:57 | I don't see any transactions large enough to suggest any fund purchase or sells for an Aim stock reasonably liquid - with transactions accumulations to £200k ( which doesn't take a lot with day traders)buy or sell moves the price significantly on percentage as spread size never really narrows like a volume traded stock. We seem to be stuck in a range like until some real news | russell250
09/5/2017 09:56 | Interesting that most people are thinking that the placing will be at a discount to the existing share price. Last time I seem to recall that it was at a premium. Would be nice to see that happen again, especially as the outlook is looking more positive. :0) | mrx001
09/5/2017 09:50 | tsmith, dsmith - strange how similar the names and how close they post. All negative. And we haven't seen them on here before. Strangely enough, there are other new names on here all casting doubt on this company from a knowledge base clearly only a few hours old. I have no problem with shorting. But trolling with it is contemptible IMO. | hiddendepths
09/5/2017 09:42 | A bloke rang a friend for some advice and a little quiet girly voice answered the phone..."can I speak to your dadie please dear"... he's busy was her reply..."then can I speak to your mummy?" No, she's busy..."hmm that's strange, can I speak to your brother?" No, he's busy..."well, who else is at your house?"... there are lots of police here..but they are busy too..."well that's very strange, why are they there at your house dear?" They are looking for me... | rayrac
09/5/2017 09:33 | ..or even St.lucia. | fireplace22
09/5/2017 09:31 | Yep, funding. Once that's out we shall be in clover...or should that be oil? | rayrac
09/5/2017 09:28 | Wheres evidence that EK are shorting or is this Fake news by shorters. | gary38
09/5/2017 09:23 | EK shorting ? | the don of dons
09/5/2017 09:20 | EK shorting could not come at a worse time given impending equity raise (typically at a discount). He does throw some weight behind his shorts, literally, so lets see how she plays out. To be fair the CPR was always likely to be a damp squib. As alluded to by another poster, its like a property survey, in that always duck slightly beneath to mitigate risk etc. All about the funding terms now....... | sloppyg
09/5/2017 09:12 | Yes looks like hot money came in last week and is now bored and looking for a new home. | davidblack
09/5/2017 09:06 | HD1.look at the daily chart work out where the day traders will put their sell stops .2. MMs will use any thing to push to those sell stop points i.e 523 mb not 597 mb estimates yet 523 is still good news but they know traders will act on the above and also will scare some investors to sell as well.3. Investing is an art not a science so getting it right is a % game. | gary38
09/5/2017 09:04 | dsmith. that is what a bulletin board is. I am wondering where the institutional buying is and my feeling is they may wait for the inevitable placing. I agree with many on here that the funding will be many stringed but there is likely to be some equity dilution. However, at that point, the stock could soar. Happy to let the day traders muck around short term. | grum3still |
