Hyper Al,

Partly agree, but the recession didn't help and now it's endemic in all companies.

I hope that you are right Gary. I'm sick of the trading culture that has arisen over the last few years. Bring back the days of true investment.

If your waiting for 42p to buy in you will be disappointed and look back and kick yourself saying why did l not buy in at 48/49p .Those who sell up hoping to buy back cheaper will also be disappointed also kicking themself having to pay a higher price to get back in .

The discussion on lse is interesting. Its focussed on Oil in place numbers. Based on 2013 CPR numbers + the extra 168metres, some are calling Hurricanes Lincoln field a minimum of between 560-600mln bbls thus far. Lancaster is also a magnitude greater after pilot well and 7z. They are talking of numbers in the region of Buzzard, Brent and quite possibly Clare. My own thoughts are, Brent is nailed on. Let's see where Halifax takes us. Someway closer to Clare resource base.Cash

42p may indeed be hit as the news flow eases off for a few weeks, BUT, if it does, it would present a great topping up opportunity.I am looking forwards to both the CPR and drilling results this quarter, and of course, the potential news flow on funding is another huge milestone to get under our belts.I remain a long term holder rather than trader.

Good listen, thanks for sharing Terry.

When Stobie talks about first quarter is he talking calendar year or fiscal year?

I thought he sounded very confident and authoritive. A mix of debt, farm in and equity release all coming in quarter two. He does say 'high share price low dilution' which was good to hear. if the share price stagnates over the next 6-8 weeks so be it, I for one will be buying the dip.

I'm a little surprised this link that Gary Megson posted up did not generate more discussion:

If you want to get an idea of the way the company appears to be thinking about the scale of the resource, and its plans for amongst other things the CPR, fund raising, and news flow this quarter and next, then this seems like a good way to spend 10 minutes.

By the way, some very interesting discussion on LSE following this, well worth a trip over there.

And my immediate thought on this - a pleasing 'casual confidence' about Stobie's estimates of the resource. It's more inspiring than the ramptastic propaganda gushed by certain e+p spivs I've encountered down the years.

Idle, I suspect Geraldo was being a tad satirical...

Ray it will be investors like us who see a great story here and this price as a great entry price as nearer the announcement of farm out or drill results price could well be mid in the 50s.

Ask yourself, who the heck is going to buy this for the next month or so? That's the trouble with this type of oil share, you can almost always time your buying!....or selling...

Stobie is fairly new to the job - only been in post 9 months.

TGG - though the CFO does seem to have fairly limited exposure. Surprised me.

Obviously Trice has no interest in the SP, no skin in the game. 26 million shares is neither here nor there

The sad thing about this fsa watcher who is no doubt very English yet feels the need to put on some pathetic fake accent is that dilution was always coming to some degree but he can't see the irony of his post. K and CA aren't trying to up the price to sell. Quite the opposite.Short termism works for some like this clown, but others are in for the very long haul. It's been working just fine so far.
