12/1/2017 09:49 | A drill hole in there might not hurt? If we hit oil a JV with Premier for early cash flow might suit both parties very well. Premier's CAPEX is sunk in the ground so anything that can move the IRR dial is going to look like a gift from heaven. Against that background a good deal could be had? | davidblack
12/1/2017 09:25 | Strathmore is a sandstone reservoir, it's a non-core asset. Its a small field similar to its extension Solan.Anyone following PMO will have noticed Solan is significantly underperforming due to poor reservior performance. PMO have just issued a revised production guidance for Solan. It's now expected to do 10-13kbopd instead of 25kbopd or originally planned for. It is quite likely PMO will not even recoup the billion + capex for Solan. If Strathmore is similar reservoir to Solan, get shot of it whilst it's still worth a song.Cash | cashandcard
12/1/2017 08:58 | Rather than sold off, I'd prefer to see a Strathmore deal that carry's HUR through to production. Let PMO do the tie back & HUR gets a second revenue stream in short order.... | oilretire
12/1/2017 08:47 | Yes, weather outlook much better soon. Let's hope the window is big enough! But eventually we'll get there. | rayrac
12/1/2017 08:42 | Depends upon how much cash. Strathmore could be yet another HUR monster. Don't want to under sell. | dcarn
12/1/2017 08:38 | Oilretire,Offloading strathmore for cash lumpsum would be a great move. While pmo need it, it's worth a shot.Cash | cashandcard
12/1/2017 08:02 | Our neighbours have capacity that needs filled..... Strathmore?? Production from the Premier-operated Solan field was lower than anticipated as a result of a later start-up and poorer than expected reservoir performance which is limiting water injection and P2 production rates. Actions to address this issue are underway including short term increases in water injection pump capacity (now implemented) and other modifications being considered for later in the year. Premier anticipates that production from the field in 2017 will remain at 10-13 kbopd with any material production uplift from remedial action unlikely before 2018. Production efficiency of the facilities has been good and six oil tanker-off loadings have now been successfully completed. | oilretire

12/1/2017 07:48 | I worked at North Tees C power station during my apprenticeship. Went outside at dawn one morning and the river was like custard. Fortunately, pollution like that is no longer acceptable. | the guardian

11/1/2017 20:24 | Scaleyman, that Russian super deep well was the Kola well at 12,000 metres but it has since been exceeded. There is talk of a 15,000 metre project, can't remember if it is Russia or Kazh. | control1

11/1/2017 18:11 | OT Hi Scaleyman, yes unfortunately I did. I expected a rush for the door but in the event, only a small number of us sold up. Ignoring EME's recent climb, I feel that my money is much safer with Dr Trice. He is the complete opposite of Tom Kelly. | the guardian

11/1/2017 16:02 | On the subject of much deeper oil, I recall reading some articles about that with reference to Russia probably about ten years ago, but can't remember where? Hello TG, did u sell out of EME completely? | scaleyman |
