28/11/2016 07:38 | morning Hyper Al,lets hope this board will get some of the more in depth informative posts as we move forward, the stril polar was at the side of the rig 7-30am till 3-30pm yesterday Lincoln results could come anytime the momentum will continue with newsflow into 2017 gla rns Spitsbergen rig to drill Halifax confirmed | laserdisc
28/11/2016 07:17 | RNS out - option taken over Spitsbergen rig to drill Halifax - presumably an indication of all going well? | puzzler2
28/11/2016 07:17 | So it's Halifax o/c of Lincoln then, mustn't be any significant delays @ Lincoln thus far. | prefab
27/11/2016 22:25 | Rayrac,I tell you this, the industry has known for a longtime that vast quantities of oil exist in deeper rocks that have been fractured by tectonic movement to the west of Scotland. They did not know how to evaluate or even build an accurate model for it. Hurricane is finally opening this resource up to the UK oil industry. I'm expecting a minimum of 2bln bbls on the basis of their prospects before Halifax.Let's see what happens. The drillbit always had final say.Cash | cashandcard
27/11/2016 21:29 | Forties field had Estimated oil in place of 5bil barrels. Half that would do nicely, but of course, we've got to remember, Forties was the largest accumulation of oil found in the North Sea! Is HUR really coming up to anything like that?! | rayrac
27/11/2016 21:26 | Wonder if he is there to look at the fresh rock core which often tells a different story once its been dried. The rock is probably many hundreds of millions of years old. Very different from young sub 100 million year old sandstone cover. | davidblack
27/11/2016 21:17 | If trice is on the rig, I'm expecting news imminently, could be Monday morning? I'm expecting good news, Just re read Lincoln spud rns to be reassured.. | zztop
27/11/2016 19:53 | HURs oil is around 38api a sweet crude , flows easier , less refinery charges etc . Wells aren't that deep , horizontal sections are technical especially re mud losses / well control . Last well had a PI of 147 , when Dr Trice mentions this his body language is apparently obvious how pleased he is with this . Kandy there's no BBBS here , or TK or BobWaterhouse . Far more honest and kindly here | gibso6767
27/11/2016 19:40 | Anxious on results of drill.lets hope its the right result. On north sea assets. Is there appetite for them presently.Im thinking XEL had 250 million but was heavy oil.Hur different kettle fish i take it .Just polite enquiry as a genuine holderK | kandymans1
27/11/2016 17:21 | great posts everyone, cheers for the input. | csjcsl2
27/11/2016 15:29 | Cheers cash. Looking fwd to a good week. The weekly line chart is in breakout.... | leeson31
27/11/2016 15:01 | Leeson, Yeah, Friday 18th RNS was a mahor development. It seems the market has not really understood what it could mean not just for Hurricane, but the UK oil industry as a whole. These are the words of Hurricane CFO, Alistair stobie, on Vox markets after the 'out of round' license award of P2308 by OGA;"If we're able to connect our Halifax well to our Lancaster well, then the potential for the size of that field is off the charts....It's absolutely outstanding"Lancaste | cashandcard
27/11/2016 08:58 | thanks hh the stril polar since 7.30am this morning by side of rig unloading bit of fun 14 webcams on main menu just click playlist for next camera angle, webcam Sumburgh was used earlier in drilling campaign but looks they now fly from dyce to the rig, plenty of flights next week, or for more serious research | laserdisc
26/11/2016 21:41 | Good work as ever laser. Thank you. I was mulling over some figures earlier of the broadest sense. If you consider an EPS will crack on at 20k bopd, given this is a world class field with a really high rating, 147 from memory, I was kicking around how hard and how much to kick into say 40 -50k bopd within 6 months of FFD approval. This would surely push us towards £1-£1:50 level presuming no further dilution and reserves of 1bbl?Thinking that DGO had half the level of shares, near 100k bopd at went for £8 share, can't remember reserves, are we also looking at £4 plus in 5 years time? | hopeful holder
25/11/2016 21:00 | I think its leaving now on west camera edit 3 vessels leaving stril polar is last one should be leaving soon mokster | laserdisc
25/11/2016 20:54 | Ty idleduck | leeson31
25/11/2016 20:52 | Stril polar will be leaving Aberdeen tomorrow pm ? Its loaded may get away this evg as it has now unlocked from waterloo quayside | laserdisc
25/11/2016 20:42 | Can confirm, Trice flew to the rig today Just because a 60-day window was allowed does not mean the well was going to take that long to drill Well at TD or thereabouts now | idleduck
25/11/2016 19:35 | That's the thing it's been rushed and vague , testing was never my niche as . But heard someone on lse says says testing gear was being sent out to Spitsbergen. So could be anything | gibso6767
25/11/2016 19:32 | Gibso - what tests are you expecting and how long before we hear? | jacks13
25/11/2016 19:24 | Must admit even if a vanilla froth free drill on the Spitsbergen I'm amazed to be honest at the time expected to drill this well . Even if a vertical pendulums drill it seems very quick | gibso6767
25/11/2016 17:38 | There has been no over run for bad weather and TD was due to be reached this weekend. Furthermore a poster on LSE suggested he may have been seen at Aberdeen airport this morning for a helicopter ride to the rig. He has already pulled out of a forthcoming meeting, being replaced by the FD Alistair Stobie, and wishes to be on the rig when news is known. | chessman2 |
