25/11/2016 15:00 | The results of the current Lincoln drill should be known to Dr Trice this weekend or early next week so we need to keep an eye open for any strange share price movements. The good Dr T is confident as he will be on the rig to await the news and so am I. I'm convinced he has cracked it so perhaps better to buy in now at the current share price rather than next week. All will be revealed in due course. | chessman2
25/11/2016 14:26 | from last fridays halifax rns.. Recognising this, Hurricane has identified a well location on Halifax (the "Halifax Well") and acquired a site survey over the prospective well location in preparation for the drilling of an exploration well. On the basis that permits can be obtained in time, Hurricane intends to drill the Halifax Well immediately following the Lincoln Well. Hurricane has extended the date of its second well option with Transocean until 25 November. wonder if we'll see any vols suddenly kick in this pm, if news leaks when the 2nd well option is confirmed.... also, as a slight reminder of what dr trice said.... "The Halifax prospect is an extremely exciting opportunity for the Company and a logical target after this year's drilling success at Lancaster. Our exploration objective is to demonstrate that Halifax is analogous to Lancaster in that the reservoir is highly fractured and that a significant hydrocarbon column is present outside of structural closure. If we are successful in this aim, then we believe it will be a significant step in establishing the true extent of the Greater Lancaster Area. This would not only be tremendous news for the Company but also for the UK's oil and gas Industry."" | leeson31

25/11/2016 10:20 | This is the full explanation given by the Doctor: 'Part of Hurricane's operational planning was to have company staff present offshore. This approach arises from the author having the old-fashioned view that a geoscientist should take responsibility for his/her data, and that responsibility starts with data acquisition. While data acquisition includes wireline, testing and vertical seismic profile (VSP) witnessing, the broader context is to ensure that communication between the various disciplines for drilling, mud logging and LWD was optimized. Such an effort is considered paramount for fractured reservoir operations, as early integration of operational data is an essential step in decision making at the well site and in providing supporting information during post-operational data analysis.' page 15 | jacks13
24/11/2016 23:28 | Part of the reason he/they would want to be near the action is because these drills are in unchartered territory for UK oil industry. If anything unforseen happens, they can review and strategic decisions can be made swiftly. They cannot afford to go through bureaucracy of a large company and wait for days and days before they get an answer to a spur of the moment development.Yes - that's serious commitment.Cash | cashandcard
24/11/2016 22:47 | IF Dr T is on the rig shows how committed he is to HUR. | gary38
24/11/2016 21:52 | I imagine it's because he wants to be present on rig in order to make snap decisions as we enter the business end of the well.Cash | cashandcard

24/11/2016 17:05 | Comparing Lancaster with Clair is about as useful as comparing a lemon meringue with a pile of bricks. | thegreatgeraldo
24/11/2016 16:12 | For comparison - BP's Clare is 220km2.The real key to understanding how large GLA could be is the maximum 'oil-down-to'. A number which hurricane are holding onto for themselves, rightly so imo.I reckon they've drilled a further 100-150m to end the well. They confirmed a 'minimum oil down to' of 1620m. Interestingly, the last depth they reported on was 1646m where they were still encountering oil of a similar quality to Lancasters.Cash | cashandcard

24/11/2016 10:54 | Not worried with intra day moves. Macro wise this share price is behaving exactly how it should. Patience I think is, and will be, well served. | brahmsnliszt |
