Question for anyone with the answer - Are the DCU payments treated as dividends for tax purposes or are they exempt? If exempt, are they classed as income? Robbing Government will no doubt want their cut somehow. Thanks in advance

Our (HUR) originally ISA purchased holdings (now DCUs) payments have today been credited to our ISA accounts.

There is a post on lse thread worth a read its about taxation of DCU income from what i gather it relates to CGT aspect but still a grey area

Question asked on that thread
is what is “the market value of the Class II DCUs at the Effective Date”

my latest payment has gone into my trading account and not ISA . I had dcu 's also in a Sipp account some monies went there also

there is money in my standard HL account that holds the DCUs since 24th March

income on that account £0.00 for this year and last
outgoing is also £0.00

because it only exists to hold my DCUs

total held on that account is not zero
if i try to withdraw i get an error

the money is not available to me and the account shows no incoming or outgoing funds

presume like last time it will hang about for a few weeks and then magically appear in my stocks and shares ISA

so again an account i could be liable for tax on, shows no incoming or outgoing funds
and the account that i will not owe tax on will gain those funds at some point

I'm happy with that

Last year this was published, The talks did not seem to progress further
However lets hope their goal today is still

Prax is interested only in production assets for now, not exploration or development. In terms of time frames, Agostini says the company wants to achieve the 50,000 bpd goal in three to five years, and there is an urgency about getting there sooner rather than later

Should be a further tanker offload during April i will post when known, further we go into April means that there was a part offload 25th February

Edit IF 324000 was unloaded on 25th Feb then the next estimated offload will fall around 18th May
Should be a better brent price in May

last day of dealings could of sold for 7.77p so far to date received 6.94p break even point maybe on next DCU payment due Sept 2024 . In the meantime we await next offload could be over 500,000 on AM presently 31/3 that is my estimate providing there was no offload when Amudsen Spirit was in port on
moored at Am on 25th February at 19.48 unmoored on 26th February at 14.34, More updates soon when we know February flowrates from this link

Deferred Consideration Cash Amount
This amount will be known on the Effective Date but it will be contingent on the Trigger
Event. If the amount is paid as the Deferred Consideration Cash Amount, it will not be a
dividend for tax purposes.

DCU payment was received in my Bank of Scotland SIPP on 28th March.

I elected to get a DCU 2 certificate instead of payment into my Barclays account, which is an ISA and not eligible for payment. Cheque received today.

Received my cheque today. Not sure about the additional statement showing charges that have been subtracted. ??? Are we being shafted yet again?
